Guest guest
but you did learn that you are not only mold toxic but mold allergic, a sort of mold double whammy... sue' >I saw and allergist who did skin tests, he said I was allergic to cats, >dogs, mold and yeast. Guest guest
When I was in my moldy school I was taking shots which I know made me worse. Sometimes my arm would swell, turn red and ache after an injection. Dr. Said it was all normal. Since leaving the building I haven't had one shot or allergy problem since. I had a toxic illness due to the mold but that is also much improved with the CSM and other meds. Some bad days here and there but mostly good. Can't do as much as before and get very fatigued if I do too much. Horrible headaches if I go into a bad place or around most fragrances. Yes, this is exactly what I thought would happen to me too! I do not see the logic of injecting mold into a person as violently sensitive to mold as me. Thanks.
Guest guest
ok, but what about the environmental medicine doctors like Dr. Rea who we are seeing now, they also use allergy testing and treatments, is that a scam too? Dr. Rea has come highly recommended by a number of folks who did not get relief anywhere else, including people on this list, and he seemed like a very smart and thorough guy based on first impressions, first appointment yesterday, ordered up a bunch of tests no one else has thought to do, but also has us scheduled in for allergy skin testing... any thoughts, what's the difference between one kind of allergy testing and another? sue v > >When I first was very ill from the moldy house, my clinic recommended an >allergist. Guest guest
and dr rea is going to do lots of other testing on my son besides the allergy testing, I am sure we will learn something, and while most of his health problems have not resolved in dallas, he is blowing his nose much much less since leaving our sedona rental 1 1/2 weeks ago (even my son recognizes the difference), even w/staying in perfumey smelling dirty hotel/motel rooms, so the sedona rental must have had hidden mold or some other trigger, now in the enviro rea housing, he is hardly blowing his nose, so at least this tells us something. and is first positive health change in 4 years....a tiny but measurable baby step.... sue v. >Dr. Reas allergy testing IS the same thing Jeannine. It is part of his >protocal and I knew he would send Sues son in there to do it. It is one >of the first things he ordered for me. And yes, he has you inject >yourself with mold antigens and I know alot of people here do not agree >with that, but his testing is no different from other allergist but yes >he does have preservative free antigens like you said. He is a firm >believer in allergy shots, etc. D >
Guest guest
Very well put Sue. Dr. Rea is a courageous physician among a small number of other courageous healers who has put their careers, lives and reputations on the line to offer safer and more effective alternatives to many who were quite ill and in most cases given up on by their physicians. He has suffered at the hands of the local medical establishment as well as the likes of corporate shills like Stossel. Most people that have been treated by people like Dr. Rea, Dr. Leibernan, Dr. Gray, Dr. Shoemaker and others have seen anywhere from some improvement to total. As the conditions surrounding mcs, mold exposure, auto-immune conditions, lyme, toxicity and the like are quite complicated there really is no one size fits all fix. Dcotors like Dr. Rea are pioneers who will most likely down the road in years to come be considered a path-finders to offering less invasive, safer and more effective treatments towards health and well being. We too as patients are pioneers as we along with the docs try to find the path(s) towards wellness that sometimes combine the treatments of these healers as well as other protocols-- and are specific to our prior exposures, genetic make-up, living and life circumstances. To simply dismiss all allergy treatment as a scam is to miss all the opportunities for healing of the above. Because it may not totally work for all does not mean it does not work at all. Also, the process of environmental allergy testing and treatment by people like Dr. Rea, Dr. , Dr. Leiberman etc is not quite the same as mainstream testing and treatment. I know this from personal experience with allergists I'd seen on and off since I was a child to more recent physicians who have adopted some of the protocols of the above mentioned healers as well as reading. For example, please read Dr. Sherry , " EI Syndrome " for a good snap shot on the differences which among other things always includes not only the different testing and treatment protocols, but also detoxification and supplementation iv's and oral ingestion. Altho there have been advances since the publication of the book it does give you a good idea of the possible errors in mainstream allergy treatment versus the type that Dr. Rea practices.
