Guest guest
why are we talking about ghosts? Whats that got to do with mold? In a message dated 1/27/2010 10:59:13 A.M. I believe in ghosts-- grew up in old houses (like 100 y.o.) back east, 3 that were haunted. 1) I was 6 y.o. when my parents rented a 3-bedroom house, they had 5 girls (counting me) and 1 baby boy. When we moved in, my 2 oldest sisters were put in a back bedroom. They were terrified to stay in that bedroom as there were sounds like things dropping on the floor, so all 5 of us girls shared one of the other bedrooms together, baby brother stayed in parents' bedroom. My dad put a lock on the door so none of us could go in there. I was small for my age, was in a crib against one of the walls. I used to scream (was scared) that there was a man in the bedroom. My mother would turn on the light and come in and tell me no one was there and to go to sleep. I had told her the man wore a brown suit and brown hat, had no lower legs. So-- next time I hollered my mother put a vigil candle in the room, the glass jar it was in had a cross on it. I never saw the man after that. My mother told the next door neighbor about the 'haunting'. The woman said the prior tenants were a young couple with a little boy, his crib was on the same wall as mine. The little boy's grandfather lived with them, every night he went over (in a wheel chair) to kiss the boy good night. The neighbor said when the grandfather died he was buried in a brown suit and a brown hat (his wishes-- loved his hat), and said his legs had been amputated from the knees down. From that time on, I always slept with a night light on. ---------------------- 2) When I was 16 y.o. we rented a bungalow, my bedroom was the only room on the 2nd floor. During the night my rocking chair would rock. Off and on I heard someone coming up the stairs to my bedroom but when I opened the door, no one was there. I assumed it was my imp younger brother playing games with me. One night we had a bad storm, lost our electricity. I noticed a white light/shadow come from the window, I made the sign of the cross but it did not leave, so I ran downstairs and got in bed with my bro My mother said this house must be haunted too-- she frequently yelled for me to stop dropping my shoes on the floor (she heard noises like something was being dropped on the floor), but I was either still in bed or sitting in a chair. ---------------------- 3) In my 20s, my husband and I bought a 45-year-old house. From the time we moved in, strange things happening-- like late evenings I would be in the living room ironing, could hear footsteps like someone came up the cellar steps and kept walking (circling) around my dining room table, but I saw nothing, also heard footsteps coming up the stairs to the 2nd floor at night. When I heard the footsteps, my German Shepherd would bark and act like something was there and was afraid to stay by herself. Also, I would lay on our bed during the day and work on my grocery list. I would hear footsteps overhead in the attic-- we did not have an attic, just a crawl space. Sometimes I would feel a chill in bed at night while my 'dead as a door knob & don't believe in ghosts' husband snored away. I would be laying still, and while I felt chilled it would feel like something feather-like was stroking my legs and arms. Sometimes if felt like someone lifted the bottom of the bed just a little and was making it sway. My neighbor told me about the former owners-- that the man was dying so the wife slept in the 2nd bedroom, that the man died in their bed in the master bedroom, and that our bed was in the very same spot as their double bed had been. The neighbor's mother was a believer, told me what to do and say to get rid of the ghost, I did it and it worked-- everything normal for the next 3 yrs until I moved out with my daughter. Right before I left my husband, I moved into one of the single beds in my daughter's bedroom. One night I saw a light-- like a ping pong ball-- bounce from the window and the light spread like the vague form of a human. I grabbed my daughter and we got into bed with my husband. After that, I put a lamp on at night in my daughter's bedroom. Then, after I had moved out and my husband started bringing in women, several of them were scared-- told about feeling cold, something light touching them, and the bed swaying. He called me to ask him how I got rid of the ghost, so I told him what to do, and no more incidents. No, I never had and do not now have mental problems, was always realistic. ---------------------------------------------------------- --- On Tue, 1/26/10, osisposis <_jeaninem660@jeaninem66jea_ (mailto:jeaninem660@...) > wrote: I think some of these ghost hauntings could be explained in many ways........I t ....I have a felling that sometimes when they see heat behind walls it's mold and that could be affecting how people fell. lol's if ghost are real I hope I can do a little haunting when I'm gone. Guest guest
I'm not saying they aren't real, I dont know the answer to that. what I'm saying is that there can be other influences that might be mistaken for a ghostly presence. I knew a guy that swore his dead uncle visited him, he swore my victorian home was haunted too, it had mold. I loved my home and any ghosts that were there. I hope they are doing some major haunting right now. > > Okay, are you ready for my ghost stories ??? I believe in ghosts-- grew up in old houses (like 100 y.o.) back east, 3 that were haunted. >
