Guest guest
I am curious, , what is behind your need to post your decision to leave the group rather than quietly just stop posting or reading? IMHO, most of the posts here are about people. And while there may be folks who post to this site regarding LDN and their dogs, why fault them for looking for anything that might save or extend the life of a " family " member? Like so many others of us, just skip the posts you do not find relevant. Good luck in your search; I hope the energy you put into it is fruitful. Guest guest
It works well on Dogs and Cats, should we not help them? they're Mammals, aren't they? Otherwise I pretty much agree that it's really hard to have OVER SIX THOUSAND members refrain from making their own decisions in what to say and post. Can only burden the owners to clean up someone else's mess. Take Care and Good Luck to you. If you don't take LDN for stupid reasons, WHO SUFFERS? surely not anyone Here [low dose naltrexone] leaving I am leaving this group I've really tried hard to get the word out about LDN, done a ton of research, asked a lot of questions and tried very hard to listen to what some of the folks here who have experience with LDN have to say. Unfortunately, when I try to refer someone else to this site it's the same old responses, " Is this stuff for animals, are you telling me I'm going to have to start going to the vet!", " I can't tell what you should or shouldn't do cause everyone keeps debating how to use it!" It's hard to get people seriously interested in LDN if I send them here first. How sad is that? I know, I'm sure I'll hear ..."were all family, sometimes families don't agree" I heard that last time I spoke up and sadly people got defensive even then when my statement was made in general. I see some folks on here really working hard to try to build a credible foundation of positive feedback for LDN, to get the information out there to people so that it might have a positive impact on their health or quality of life. I have gone back and forth in my wanting to try LDN and I don't mind telling you, what throws me off, is taking this treatment serious when someone else is giving it to their pet. Now if that makes me shallow or stupid or whatever name you want to stick me with, well thats just fine, I'm ok with that. I'm sure I'm not the first, only or last to have the thought run through my head. Anyway, good luck to you folks who are suffering, I hope you find some relief and happiness. I'm going to put my energy into other things and give my email a much needed break.take care, good luck!------------------------------------
Guest guest
, PLEASE do not leave the group because of one person. Guest guest
Hi , I'm sorry someone wrote you privately and they were rude. I'm sure most of us on this chat group would love to know who it is. If you don't want to say who it is maybe the person who said something has the nerve to say something to the group and explain why they were so rude to you! Guest guest
I cannot believe that someone from this group would be so ignorant. Is it actually someone from this group or someone that recently joined just to do this sort of thing. I am sure the moderators will deal with this individual. Guest guest
Yes I guess it is kind of hard to deal with it if you are not given the individuals name.. It must have been pretty offensive to make someone want to leave the site. Its the internet. I wouldnt leave. If it was ongoing then I would be giving you the persons name. Guest guest
The amount of non-relevant posts in the last month is beyond my level of tolerance. Since the moderators are letting non-relevant posts like 'ok', welcome back' et al, is turning this into a chatroom environment rather than one of 'discussion'. All I have done is hit the delete button when seeing posts from Sickbuildings. I've met some great people online and in person from the group. I'll rely upon my friends/associates to forward to me posts that they think are relevant that might be put up on the NTEF's website. I am sure the important posts will be cross posted to ACCHEMIC which will keep me in the 'information' loop. Take care. Angel
Guest guest
im not trying to be derrogatory or demeaning in any way but why would you elect to receive the posts from any forum in your email? Guest guest
Wait a minute. Hold on here. It is wrong to say that one should be very suspicious of the newbies, I think. We were all newbies here at one time or another trying to find our way when there is almost no place else to turn to for help. People should not be automatically suspects. These people are sick and VERY RARELY is there someone who joins this group as a plant or who is not sick. I think it is the wrong message to automatically suspect these people who need help. Guest guest
Robin: I am really sad to read this. Newbie's deserve to be welcomed and treated with the up-most respect. There is no need for such paranoia. I am just shocked that this is the sort of welcomed they get. : Just go on digest and not get individual e-mails. I am sure the mods will be glad to show you how to do this. If a group is giving me too much mail, I either go on digest or no mail or read from the group's website. I don't go and gripe over a few off topic messages. Lighten up and allow us all to enjoy our group and to be able to welcome new members or welcome back old members. I don't see welcoming someone as garbage. > > > > Angel, I've been deleting all of the posts except for a couple. I > > don't feel well and can't handle the extraneous garbage either. Guest guest
Sharon, I agree strongly. I can't believe this statement. " I would be very suspicious of the newbies. They are really sick and disturbed needing help the way they do. Troll and plants for sure. " Why shouldn't we suspect you? This is a RED FLAG to me!!! Some that we have encountered over the years have been very good, but some where along the line, they ALWAYS screw up. I promise you. Leave this up to the moderators, and/or if you do suspect something is wrong you can contact us. We have had what we call (players)looking for attention, playing on others emotions, looking for money,or just disrupting the board. But they always get caught and have been banned from the group. Guest guest
I think Sharon got my point. Im confused with what you are saying. i was sarcastically responding after someone complained (accused) about their " suspicions " and had explained them in an earlier post. I was being sarcastic and I have pretty much been in the depths of despair lately as this has been pretty traumatizing. Then people are making statements like some of the new folks are plants of some sort? ( I was sarcastically repeating the accusation since no moderators or anyone else addressed it.. ).
