Guest guest
Sue, A while back you wrote " we all get our initial gut flora from mom thru vaginal delivery and breast feeding, while in the womb our guts are sterile--no gut flora, so if your mom had damaged gut flora from whatever, or if you were c-section delivered, not breastfed, then you didn't get a good gut flora start... YES, THAT IS WHAT I think happened to me. My mom had candida overgrowth when she was pregnant with me (I'm very sure) and I was not breastfed. I was allergic to my formula (but they didn't realize that, just knew I could never drink it all) and I have had digestive issues since birth. I used to frequently go completely rigid as a child without realizing it (like when I was concentrating on something) and my dad would always say " don't tense up. " This happened until I was 6 years old and learned to control it so I didn't do that anymore. He tells me that I did this in the crib as a baby too. anita
Guest guest
I was beast fed and I'm still here. while yes, something like that may effect you, there are people here that were very healthy before their WDB exposures. just mentioning this so we can keep in perspective of what WDB exposures can do, weither there are pre-existing illnesses or not. > > Sue, > > A while back you wrote " we all get our initial gut flora from > mom thru vaginal delivery and breast feeding, while in the womb our guts > are sterile--no gut flora, so if your mom had damaged gut flora from > whatever, or if you were c-section delivered, not breastfed, then you > didn't get a good gut flora start... > > > YES, THAT IS WHAT I think happened to me. Guest guest
hi anita, so you can't go back and fix your mom's gut flora or your initial gut flora start, but you can supplement with probiotics, there are now also probiotic mixtures of human strains like Progurt from Australia which are supposed to be able to recolonize the gut, my son tried, didn't help him, but his doctor said they have had a number of their most environmentally ill patients miracle cure with this stuff, there are also docs maybe in europe who recolonize the colon with human strains of probiotics, not sure I want to know how. sorry if others have asked something of me, i haven't been following everything on the list, tied up with other stuff lately.. best of luck, sue v. >Sue, > >A while back you wrote " we all get our initial gut flora from >mom thru vaginal delivery and breast feeding, while in the womb our guts >are sterile--no gut flora, so if your mom had damaged gut flora from >whatever, or if you were c-section delivered, not breastfed, then you >didn't get a good gut flora start... > > >YES, THAT IS WHAT I think happened to me. HA! INTERESTING..... Thanks for your reply. I was just throwing my story out cuz I do wonder about the nerve symptoms I've always had and just wonder why my body would go rigid like that, even as a baby. anita
