I think essential oils should be fine in general. But not the

cinnamon--according to the updated food lists, we shouldn't eat any of the

avoid foods or apply them to our skin.

Here is the web site for the food lists;

I don't know a lot about oils, but studied them a little bit and have about 30 in my collection. Mostly, I just use tea tree for various things. I cleared up my daughter's ringworm with it recently.

Another caution...a lot of vials labeled " oil of oregano " are actually a

form of thyme. Read the label carefully! I know I got swindeled this way...

------------------<<<< I am referring to ESSENTIAL OILS, not oil of oregano

which is essential oil diluted in olive oil.

Oregano vulgaris and three others with high carvacol levels have anti

microbial activity. I use these essential oils regularly for a number of

issues with good results.

There is also at least one Thymus essential oil that also has a high

carvacol level.... I think it is Thymus spicata. So, you may not have been

swindled but have run into the situation of common name vs. botanical name.

Essential oils require a lot of respect as they are very potent and

should not be used casually.

You can think what ever the hell you like you are an ignorant person who obviousely dosnt want to get better and are very bitter against someone trying to offer hope. So you can keep your opinions to yourself because when you open your mouth trash comes out!!!!!! Do some research on these products then you will have room to talk.

Thanks Dina for the info, but one other thing, didn't you mention something

was applied along his spine? What was that?

Customer Service at YLEO can not advise me on uses or applications.

I hope you are well.

there ingredients and how to use them you can also talk to them at young

living personaly im so sorry for getting angry it truley is not me.

Dina.... all I can say is I have seen them work first hand and all the mail

I have read about interferon and other treatment are not working? People are

still sick months after and the biopsies?? let me hear from one person it

helped them. When levels go from the high 200 to normal levels and the

person feels great compared to before... well please try them and let me

know ok? If the marketing bothers people then i will gladly give other

peoples numbers which give me no credit because im not into it for any money

I dont need it. I saw a need and went out there in the beginning for

support for a illness i knew nothing about a friend introduced me to them

they help Darrell and I offered hope but the marketing makes people be

aware and fine but please check it out before just writing it off. Thank and

Conni:

Glad you had success! Let me tell you a bit about what I know of purchasing

essential oils. Don't go to bath and body works. I went to a store to

check out their aromatherapy line and was shocked at how expensive their

essential oils cost. Granted, there are expensive essential oils, but I

spend an average of $6.50 per bottle. The jasmine and neroli oils are

usually the most expensive (about $20). I also looked at the ingredients of

the essential oils at B & BW. It seems that the EO's are not 100% uncut. The

EO's have been diluted with other carrier oils (such as apricot kernel oil

or seed oil). Now, this isn't bad. It's just that you aren't getting the

concentrated " pure " form of the EO and thus it's potency isn't as high.

The GNC in my area doesn't sell EO's either. But I found a great selection

at my local health food store. GNC sells mostly vitamins and powders. the

health food store I go to sells that along with food products such as frozen

foods, cooking essentials, condiments, and bulk items sold by the pound

(grain, wheat, glycerin, arrow root powder, etc). So check and see if you

have one of those in your area.

yes, Conni, Essential oils usually are expensive, but a little goes a

long way, they are theraputic, effective, and natural (as opposed to

FO). for salt scrub, Sweet Orange and other citrus EO's are good, and

cheap (should be under 10 bucks). and a bottle of say 10 - 15 ml or 1

oz will last you a long time as you'd only need say 10 - 20 drops for

the salt scrub. Lavender is also good, and Ylang Ylang, Rosewood,

Patchouli, Rosemary, Clary Sage, etc.

I found it at my local grocery store with the regular

table salt. It's in the same kind of container too.

Essential Oils

Where can I get Indian Oil? Has anyone ever heard of it? And Plumeria? I

don't think it is on the glenbrookfarm site. Could be wrong.

No. I am trying to duplicate that product called Sea Secret on the HSN. They

have about a dozen oils in it and one of the them is called Indian Oil. I tried

to do a search but only came up with some Ancient Egyptian oil.

I have an oil from The Body Shop called Indian Gardenia Oil. But I've never

heard of Indian Oil. It may be one that HSN sells as well.

I'm not tired of talking about cancer, and it was me who asked a simple question

regarding " healing " oils and was there anyone " out there " who had knowledge of

any healing oils that would tie into the " biblical " oils that were used in

ancient times? That seemed to me an easy question to answer and instead of

getting an answer that directly addresses the question; we have this most

confusing discussion as to what is and what isn't " essential " oils..And this

post from SaraLou has me even more confused like Pepe le Peu and some

unfortunate Parisian alley cat..But YES..Let's get back on the subject of

cancer, and perhaps naming a " healing oil " that actually has been PROVEN to aid

in our struggle against CANCER...

melville ;-)

[ ] Re: Healing Oils - SaraLou

An essential oil is the product of distillation which captures the

volatile oils of plant materials.

In the USA there are labeling laws. Regarding the ingredients list

will tell the consumer at least part of the story. Some essential

oils are 'corrected' by the marketers.... this is especially true in

the cosmetics part of the business. A case in point is Lavendar

labeled as Lavendar 42/46 or something like that.

Most, but not necessarily, all of the better essential oils will

be labeled with their Botanical names and country of origin.

Oils in similar bottles labeled as FRAGRANCE oils are not

essential oils but chemical compositions. Fragrance oils are not used

in healing.

SaraLou, help me here please..... I seem to be coming down with

yet another cold and have to go find my bottle of essential oil of

Origanum onites from Turkey to help deal with it. Yes, I do dilute

it prior to use to avoid possible sensitivity.

Mel -

there is a simple answer - flax oil.

I hope you forgive me to keep the terminology straight (in this

cancer business with x opinions and y terms).

Now that makes sense...Flax oil is " essential " .and it works..I have to ask your

forgiveness in that I'm not " savy " when it comes to all of the technical terms

regarding cancer and still not sure of how to spell " metastisizing " or whatever

and so I get lost in much of the detail and terminology on here; but that's not

your fault. Now I'm finding out that apparently " castor oil " could also be a

medicinal " healing oil " and that is it's use seems to be some kind of

" anointing " as in the bible..It is also a " mystery " in how it works. Mystery and

miraculous are very close in their meanings..aren't they? Sort of reminds me of

the qualities of those products Helen's going on about..Hmmmmmm? Do miracles

really happen or is there a perfectly logical chemical reason for the healing

qualities of these oils? Would " anointing " one's head with " flaxseed-oil " and

cottage cheese do any good?
