Guest guest
I dont know where this discussion is at the moment. I do recall a statement by Dr. Thrasher and this one. With all info at hand I am more confused than ever. I was diagnosed by Shoemaker with " toxic encephalopathy " Due to my fungal exposure. Since my exposure I have devolved a good deal of chemical sensitivity. I also have a nephew that is autistic and bi-polar and they by far dont seem to have any connections that I am aware of but I am saying this with little to no true education about this subject. All I can say (and I hate it that my defendants are probably spieing here) What I like to morgellons, chemical sensitivity and fungal exposure happened at one and the very same time. I have never know Thrasher to be wrong so I dont know what to say on this one other than maybe I just am not understanding something... ________________________________ From: " mnpearl@... You said that the disorders have toxic encephalopathy in common. You said: " For example, epidemiology research in California has demonstrated that exposure to pesticides is associated with autistic spectrum disorder, Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's. These people do not necessarily have chronic sinusitis, but they have one thing in common: brain inflammation and toxic exposure. i.e. toxic encephalopathy. " Toxic encephalopathy is not recognized by the medical profession. MCS has been recognized in the courts, especially in cases involving social security. In 1998 our local county court recognized MCS and held court in a different location to accommodate someone. I guess I will continue to disagree with changing the name. It is already accepted by many federal agencies and many countries. To me, trying to change the name just brings more confusion not clarity. Not everyone with toxic encephalopathy has chemical sensitivities do they? MCS is caused by toxic encephalopathy, just as the other disorders. That should be stressed. No disagreement there. Is there a test to prove someone has toxic encephalopathy? That would be the most helpful. Jean
Guest guest
I work with autistic children and every day someone somewhere claims that some sort of research says this and that causes autism. There is no real clear cut reason, nor enough research or proof at this time of what causes this disorder. We should all leave the " cause " to the professionals who work with these children and adults. I don't judge and seek the cause because it is not my place. I feel so bad for the parents of these kids because the world think it is their place to tell them how their kids got the disorder. The parents have a hard enough time without others constantly telling them this and that is the cause or problem. > From: " mnpearl@... Guest guest
I suggest that you look at and read the below post. Very interesting observations on genetic polymorphism, detoxification and autism. http://www.huffingtonpost.com:80/stephen-barrie-nd/child-autism-epidemic-fir_b_6\ 96179.html [] Re:Was: Leaving  Now: MCS/ CIRS I work with autistic children and every day someone somewhere claims that some sort of research says this and that causes autism. Guest guest
I do not doubt that toxins might be the cause of autism and even this article stated it " may be. " See copy and paste below from article. " New research shows that even low-dose, multiple toxic and infectious exposures may be a key factor to the onset of autism. " My concern is that daily parents hear these maybes and are told to do it this way and that way in an effort to heal their kids. It is just plain out sad because it is a never ending process for these tired parents. At this time, there is no conclusive evidence on what causes autism. There is much research going on and many studies happening but nothing has been proven to be the key factor of the cause. --- In , " Jack Thrasher, Ph.D. " <toxicologist1@...> wrote: > > I suggest that you look at and read the below post.
