Hopefully the Panel will be able to hear from self advocates, parents, etc. Berthy Your input is VERY IMPORTANT! The Ticket to Work and Work Incentives Advisory Panel was established by the Ticket to Work and Work Incentives Improvement Act of 1999 to advise the President, Congress and the Commissioner of Social Security on issues related to work incentive programs, expanded availability of health care services, planning and assistance for individuals with disabilities and the Ticket to Work and Self-Sufficiency Program established under this Act. The Panel is a bi-partisan group of twelve private citizens, four of whom were appointed by the President, four by the Senate and four by the House of Representatives. The August Quarterly Meeting will Take Place NEXT WEEK: August 16, 2006 - 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. August 17. 2006 - 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. August 18, 2006 - 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon Location: Double Tree Hotel Crystal City, 300 Army Navy Drive, Arlington, VA 22202 PHONE: Public testimony will be heard on: Wednesday, August 16, 2006, from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Thursday, August 17, 2006, from 3:15 p.m. until 3:45 p.m. Individuals interested in providing testimony in person or via a toll-free phone number should contact Ms. Tinya White-, at _Tinya.White-@..._ (mailto:Tinya.White-@...) or by calling to schedule a time slot. Members of the public must schedule a time slot in order to comment. Each individual providing public comment will be acknowledged by the Chair in the order in which they are scheduled to testify and is limited to a maximum five-minute, verbal presentation. Full written testimony on the Implementation of the Ticket to Work and Work Incentives Program, no longer than five (5) pages, may be submitted in person or by mail, fax or email on an ongoing basis to the Panel for consideration.
