Guest guest
Oh I agree and my opinion is only based on knowing moms of autistic children, so limited. I would include GMO foods as the environment as well as vaccines in that its all introduced to the child, not naturally part of the child. But I coudl be wrong in that assumption. I have run yaskos tests for myself. I have the same genetics. Whats the difference? More vaccines today and too many at once? I know we were overly vaccinated (in AL they gave a tenanus shot often) but maybe not so many as babies. I think my generation is the first junk food generation. I think there is something to this as well. I dont know if my mom had fillings at the time.. ?? I bet she did. I know that she ate better as a child than I did. I had pesticide poisoning but this was as an older child. I am a female. Possibly my brother did not get as many messed up methylation genes. Maybe not so many shots as a baby spared him. What is so odd is that my methylation genetics are the same as many kids with autism and I am being treated the same way. I go by the same protocol. Something eventually causes (for some) the methylation cycle to go off and it can be (painstakingly) addressed using nutrigenomic therapy. Neubrander has an interesting take on methylation in the brain which may be diff than the yasko perspective and possibly a diff bewteen adult with chronic neuro immune inflammatory illness and autistic children?? Some things have definitely changed. The genetics have always been here. Its like a toxic assault on the genetics.. those with the homogenous polymorphisms in the wrong place get hit first I suppose. I have mthfr+- and mtr++.. i think the mtr did me in esp as a vegetarian for as long as I was.. then you add glutathione depletion not only from a screwed up methylation cycle but from toxic assaults.. then what comes first, a dysfunational methylation cycle resulting in low to no glutathione or low to no glutathone (from detox demand) dragging down methylation or all of the above. Rich VanK's theory is that it is glutathione depletion that leads to all the rest... with chronically ill adults (with cfs, etc) I think yasko thinks that the CBS upregulation is the trump card. I have the lesser of the evil CBS upregulations and heterogenous. That may also play a difference. Less likely to drain the transulfuration pathway, though there is that possibility. Also I think you are saying it may not all be genetic even with the toxic and immune assaults.. that makes sense. 40% of people carry some of these polymorphisms and they are fine or fine enough. Not everyone with a celiac gene gets celiacs or gluten intolerance. There is more to it than genes. We all have gluten intolerance here and I am wondeing if candida or mold toxins.. something else is causing this and even if " genetics " plays a role even though I have a celiac gene. ?? The MMR is scary. There is some connection there and its amazing how much denial to these connections there is. Seems like with mold and mercury amalgams, GMO foods, microwaves (cell phones), and so on. I agree with the vaccines and am very leary of them all, which is a another topic most likely not for this list! I wonder if we also have more chronic illnesses in adults now as well. Looking back, I can see the trail of assaults from pesticides to chemicals that we cleaned with as children (without gloves) to the food.. mercury amalgams, the vaccines.. sick building exposures and so on. We also ahve pyroluria here. I know some of the moms I know with kids with autism are testing positive for this as are their kids. But what is the cause and pyloluria is either genetic (so cannot account for increase in autism rates) or triggered most likely by heavy metals. It would be interesting to compare a vaccine schedule from 20-30-40 years ago to the last so many years. Robin > > I'm sorry to jump in & don't mean to sound defensive. The environment plays a part, then GMO foods. If you go back 20- 30 yrs., where were all > the kids with autism? Consider how many fillings mom had. Mom gives mercury vapor to her baby. > > There are some genetic predispotions, the biggest change is the amount of vaccines given. They're an immune system insult. So now, you have generations of parents > who got more vaccines having kids getting more vaccines than I could have imagined. > > The CDC needs to consider spacing them out. They won't b/c it's big business with tobacco science. > > My youngest child is a son w autism. > > More boys are effected than girls, b/c of higher testosterone. Some are protected via estrogen. Looking back in both sides of our family there was no child w daily diarrhea at 14 mos. after the MMR & others he got. > > Some doc's are nice & dx. them w developemental encephalopathy. He's come a long way w diet, vitamins & ABA. He goes to regular school, talks up a storm. We did what we could. I look at recovery as them being healthy & functioning in our world. I think Dr. Amy Yasko's work is amazing. It was the final piece of the puzzle for us. > > My niece vaccinated her 1st child a girl through the MMR & quit. The child's hyper & had some gut problems. > > She didn't vaccinate any of the last 3, had them at home & they're the most relaxed kids. > > Doctors are criticized & some careers get ruined who try to make changes. > > > National Vaccine Info.
