Guest guest
and I would add that U.S. conventional mattresses are all soaked in chemical fire retardants, antimicrobials and more, knowing what I know today, I would only sleep my precious babes on organic mattresses.... also, and totally against U.S. pediatric guidelines because we " need to start getting our babies independent at a young age or whatever the hang up is, not sure " , I think there are studies showing that sleeping with your baby reduces SIDS UNLESS you are a heavy drinker, drug user, or have other problems that would make you more likely to roll over on your baby. I slept with both my babies, it was much easier for me to night nurse that way, and my body was just aware of where they were, don't quite no how to explain it, but I never worried about smothering them. THere is something about the mom's heartbeat that helps keep the babies heart beating in rhythm.... BTW, my husband grew up in Croatia (Europe), they didn't have central heat (another subject), and he slept in mom & dad's bed till he was a pretty big kid because that's how they kept warm.... IN any case, if you have a baby, you might want to check out what the current research says about this subject... Central heat, this other subject....Central heat is so modern and desirable....BUT I often wonder if just having separate heaters in each room doesn't make a lot more sense, you can turn off or way down the heat in rooms not being used, and you don't have these ducts to collect dust and molds that are hard to clean.... if I were designing my own home, I would think seriously about skipping the central heating system....my husband's family house still does not have central heat, and they don't seem to miss it, the bathrooms have heaters that include towel racks about for drying the wet towels, they just expect to see heating units and it's normal they aren't hidden in the walls... sue >Again, no one acknowledged what was causing the decrease of serotonin. >All these symptoms look so familar.
