Looking for advice about how to find a good lawyer or lawyer referrals for a

friend who was sickened by a WD & Toxic Building in SO. Cal School a number of

years ago, not sure which years, but believe it is w/i statute of limitations.

She had a lawyer but that lawyer has been pretty ineffective, she is on

disability, is struggling to get enuf money to pay for supplements, medical

treatments etc. for self and son who was also sickened by an adjacent building

where he went to school. I think she needs to find a good lawyer who can help

her get a big settlement to help cover her health care needs and those of her

son, to help her build or buy a house out in the country away from pollution and

car exhaust, etc. Her child is not thriving and no one knows what kind of care

he will need in the future or for how long. Here is what she told me about her

story: Southern CA school district/contamin. property/remodel/water damage,

gas leaks, etc. I worked in the district for 25 years. 15 at this site. Two

second trimester miscarriages in this building. Moved to another building and

had a life birth. Denied since 2004 by the district insurance company.

Offered me 5000 dollars to shut up and retire. I refused. CA QME says 100% work

related as do five other doctors. NO doctor would allow me back in the building.

Principal moved the class because she heard the testimony of the children that

were burning like I was..like we were radiated. Can anyone help here? I don't

want to see her settle for a pittance that won't provide for their future needs

(I think a court date is coming up soon). Thanks, Sue V.
