Guest guest
RUSTEE, I haven't lost my vision yet, may be things to come in the future, but I know that avoiding chemicals and other things I'm reactive too helps keep the inflammator reaction from getting chronicly very bad and so has slowed down the process of ongoing damage and hopefully delays the loss of sight. after the damage has been done, many things can aggervate the inflammatory process, it's not just about mold. > > Hi all, > > Would appreciate any information about loss of vision and damage to vision from mold exposure. > > How does this occur? > > What are the symptoms? > > What molds are responsible? > > Has anyone here had vision loss from mold exposure? > > Any and all information provided on this topic most appreciated. > > Thanks, Ian >
Guest guest
some of the symptoms are more obvious than others like blind spots, floaters, blurred vision, headaches and skipping/jumping of letters or words while reading but symptoms can also be less obvious like loss of comprehenshion (when reading), memory problems; this is how I discovered my daughter was suffering the effects of the mold, her reading comprehenshion dropped drastically then we discovered she was having vision problems.... hope this helps!
Guest guest
All that I can say, is after I moved from the moldy house, I was still concerned about how tired my eyes got when working, and just the feeling that I could not see as well as I used too. My eye Dr sent me to s specialist, who took a history and did lots of tests to rule out any eye disease. Then he said, " mold toxin, neurotoxin, is very hard on the optic nerve. We have done a VCS test , which will serve as a baseline. Keep taking CSM to bind out the toxins, come back in 6 months so we can test you again. " This Dr was in southern eastern shore MD, I can only assume he was familiar with Dr Shoemakers work and with Dr Huddells work. This was in 2002, when few Drs understood molds affect.
