Guest guest
I got my spec ed training at St ph's College in Windham, Maine. My instructor worked for the state dept of Ed . IF she is an example of the level of dedication in Maine, has it made!!!! I was so000 impressed that we actually thought about retiring to the Portland area. We taught Elie to sit in the bathroom because it was evident to us that he was confused as to when to sit and when to stand. Also, the urinals in his elementary school were troughs on the floor and he couldn't use them without getting his feet wet! Then we learned from an old NAVY buddy, that many people in the NAVY choose to sit rather than stand as it gives them more privacy. (My husband never noticed!!) Also, in public situations, it is saafer to be in a stall then standing at a urinal. Elie has always sat except when he had a male teacher in Middle School - he would imitate him. Now I notice that AFTEr he bathes, he always stands at the toilet. Don't know what that is about, because he sits BEFORE he bathes. Sara - Choose to make lemonade, not complain about the lemons.
