Guest guest
I cannot tolerate my central heat so I use space heaters. I bought one yesterday, but I noticed there was a no return policy for them. I checked it out as best I could in the store, but when I got it home, and plugged it in......it is going to charity. $$$$ mistake. I have 2 Austin Air filters. Dr. Rea recommended them. When the neighbors cook outdoors and use lots of lighter fluid on charcoal, the smell comes into my home, and the AA filters do not remove it. Same for when the yard guys come and do the lawn. The house is permeated with the smells from their equipment. Same goes for the perfumey smell from clothes dryer sheets and the perfumey detergents the enighbor uses. The AA filters don't take that smell out of the air either. Josie
Guest guest
What kind of heater is it pinkflowers? I bought oil heaters that had an odor but for a very short time. If it is oil heaters, I would let them run some place else for a while and try them again. Many things smell only when they are brand new. Maybe a room you do not use w window cracked open, in a garage, etc. I love my Austin Air filters. Sometimes the smelly air hits you before it can go through the room units. Also to consider is if the filter is all used up? They have filters w carbon inside and also some w carbon fabric inside. The ones w carbon fabric inside rather than carbon will need a change in filters more often as the carbon fabric will be used up more quickly than the bulk carbon. --- In , PickPinkFlowers <haggisisscotsfood@...> wrote: > > I cannot tolerate my central heat so I use space heaters. Guest guest
Josie, you really should try diplomatically to speak to your neighbors about the use of dryer sheets that have neurotoxins in them. It's not healthy for them either. I had to ask my neighbor not to run his diesel truck in the morning near my windows. Very touchy situations. Guest guest
I bought a Pelonis ceramic heater and it is good. I had to run it in another room for about a day and it was good after that. Staying warm in this cold and on the third floor. Got mine from Sears online. > > What kind of heater is it pinkflowers? I bought oil heaters that had an odor but for a very short time.
