Guest guest
can i do something else? denise ---------------- I have one of these devices, after a friend of mine got good results from it: http://meissnerresearch.com/products/air-cleaner You have to have grounded wiring (3 prong plug where the third prong doesn't just sit there but is actually attached to electrical ground) or you have to run that third prong to your plumbing (won't work if it is plastic plumbing, must be metal) or outside to a metal rod pushed into the ground. The device you buy is the white cylinder; the other part is a an automatic dog-watering dish that you get at Walmart for about $10. The guy who manufactures these is not " in business " to do that, he just has designed this stuff to help his friend who had mold problems. She said it helped a lot to get both mold and odors out of her apartment. What it does is attract the spores electrically and then they go into the water because they are attracted to the ground wire after they are positively charged (sorry for the engineer talk, but some understanding of how it works is helpful.) It is not very big; if you find the dog waterer at Walmart first you will see how big the rest of it is. I have to go buy speaker wire today to attach to my plumbing. He says put it near the intake for the furnace/air conditioner and my bathroom is right next to the furnace intake so I won't have to run too long of a wire. I got it because I get dizzy every time my furnace blower comes on, and I hope to be able to get enough of the spores out of the air so I can be inside my hosue. Good luck.
