The air quality is excellent with their product. The first filter is

also embedded with nano silver - another nice feature. I love mine and

will get a second one someday. I'm sorry that they don't have their

smaller office model anymore. The last filter on the RA is a charcoal

filter. If it is acetic acid, all the better. It does definitely work

on fumes. Good AC for a good price. I originally wanted the IAQ, but

the cost was prohibitive and some say that it emits an odor.

Acid acid (vinager ) helps elliminate ordors too, I do not see the usefulness.

I think it depends on the level of sensitivity.  I do not see this product

working for me in particular.   What about  VOC's from other sources.  Those are

a great concern to me.

Vinager is not a concern however all these below are.  I know that not all VOC

filters clean these :

Gasoline and natural gas are a major source of VOCs. VOCs are given off by many

types of products including: paints and lacquers, paint strippers, cleaning

supplies, pesticides, building materials and furnishings, office equipment, and

craft materials like glue and markers. All of these things can release VOCs

while you are using them and when they are stored.

Some VOCs are quite dangerous, like benzene, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons

(PAHs) and butadiene. Benzene may increase your chances of getting leukemia.

PAHs can cause cancer. Butadiene is found in gasoline engine exhaust and

cigarette smoke, and can cause cancer too. chemicals such as formaldehyde,

toluene, and limonene also contain high VOC levels.

The odor from the IQ Air which some have a problem with is the potassium

pergamate in the carbon I believe. Not the equipment since the housing itself is

inert.  It had 3 stage filtration and has much carbon in it. One of their models

is classified as a Class II  Medical Device.  You maybe able to get a script

for.

God Bless !!
