Guest guest
We've managed to relocate. I think I could tell a difference within a day. One week here and no sinus to brain inflammation (yet) that leads to neuro symptoms: brain fog, deep depression, catatonic like stupor. Lungs feel better. I have had severe burning in my legs and what feels like edema but legs do not look swollen.. feel heavy and hurt. Ive been on my feet alot and am now able to put my feet up more comfortably as I sit since we set the futon up in main living area. Weakness, fatigue in muscles still alive and well. We moved into a new house my father had available (partner with a builder in a subdivision). All the new house toxins have made themselves loud and clear. Have austin airs going and windows open during the day. This gives a different feeling than my mold house did.. very unpleasant and stiffling.. diff effect though than my mold house. Brought shaved dog but introduced her after being here close to a week.. no new symptoms when introduced. We were able to keep her at a friends house. She was washed and shaved the day we left and then again right before we put her in our van which was also detailed the day we left. Brought clothing to wear until we could change and then trashed. Brought items we coullaptop was cleaned and came along as well. We transitioned from a hotel room to house. My husband will be cleaning out the mold house incrementally. I am the only one seemingly obviously responding to it or something else in it (I am wondering about the cats which stayed behind). I'll report back as treatment begins. Waiting for more tests to come in.. sep post on that coming. Robin

Guest guest
Hi Robin, Congrats on your move, I hope your health improves quickly....I think I understand that you more or less decomtaminated yourself from the moldy house to your new place. What do you have to trash and what can you keep to take to the new place?  My husband and I have been living in our motorhome that has mold and we will be moving into most likely another one since we work on the road. I am not sure what I need to get rid of. Could you give me some idea?  I am a patient of Dr. Shoemaker-I got back my blood results last Friday and have the dreaded gene he talks about--4-3-53 (04)....not too happy about that! Diane ________________________________ From: listspub <listspub@...> Sent: Mon, September 27, 2010 1:16:49 AM Subject: [] Relocation Accomplished  We've managed to relocate. Guest guest
Hi Dave, Its good to hear from you. Been out of the loop and no clue what's going on with you. Sounds like youa are in a hotel for now. I hope you are feeling better. Without dog for a week. Dog back in and today sinus to brain swelling, not as intense as it has been but some memory issues, brain fog. I also did some laundry but all new things.. which also means chemicals that are one them. Im giving it a week with the dog and if symptoms persist will take back to friends who were keeping her. She was happy there and they would be happy to keep her permantently... I would if not for my kids go ahead and give her away. dont think its mold though. I think it may be her dander. She is a german shepard/lab mix and they are both breeds with dander issues. I also am starting to think esp after looking at Jeff May's site that the sofa I was crashing on (and feeling this intense drugged grogginess on) was most likely loaded with dust mites. It was over 20 years old. MY husband threw it out as soon as he got back to what I will call the mold house. I do find it interesting (hoping my husband read the lab work correctly) that my amino acids were out of low red zone into low green zone. Amino acids are huge in CFS and sometimes barely if ever budge from the red zone. This is all after the stachy remediation. Also interesting that I am dumping 4 metals into yellow zone. Could be the transdermal glut but also this is happeneing about 6 months after stachy remediation. I have an appt with my doc mid OCt. UNtil then, I think I will see how my body adjusts. Guest guest
Hi Diane, I am " dreaded " as well. I know of someone else who is and is doing pretty well given numerous infections on top of lyme, so that gives me hope. My husband also has a " dreaded " and he is fine. So I am not quite getting how this plays out. If DR SHoemaker give you a comperhensive listing of lab ranges he wants to see, would you mind passing along? My Dr said he would contact Dr S for a consult but each one is 10 minutes per 3 VCS tests and thats not alot of time to cover too much. I'm not sure how much of the stachy spores were loose in the air. They were brewing in the kneewall of the MBR shower and not exposed to an inside wall.. all behind tile save for the gapping seam along the length of one side of the knee wall. I think this is where stuff " leaked " out and hope it was confined to the bath, bedroom area. The carpet coming out tf the bathroom tested positive for med levels of stachy after the remediation, so i know it managed to travel out on way or another. ERMI showed no stachy (but thats a limited sample) and air samples caught one spore (7 per cu meter) after the remediation and in LR.. not sure if cross contamination or what was going on.. my point is, I dont know how contaminated the house and our objects were through out the house, esp since i am the only one sick. But to play it safe and because I have been so sick, we are getting rid of everything except some papers we are putting in plastic boxes and were not in MBR area (kids art etc) and some things that could be wiped off that did not have motors with fans and could be easily cleaned: cell phones, my son's hand held games systems, my electromedical devices like my rife (which does have a fan and is sitting contained in the basement here.. humidity controlled), my LED machine and a few ohters that also did not have fans and could be easily cleamed and were also kept in containers and not out in open. I am also keeping glass mandalas and possibly ceramics that my kids made and one that I purchased and love because I think these can be thoroughly washed. I have very little I value enough to take chances on so it will be my husband who decides what he wants to clean and store for himself. These objects will not be brought in this house. None will be fabric or stuffed. It will come down to what he values enought to put the energy and time into cleaning. She nor my father is showing signs of toxicity, more signs of infection of some sort. They both had respiratory issues (persistant pneumonia, lingering symptoms) before the house was first cleaned adn the ventaliation properly installed (and stopped using hot tub). She noticed symptoms coming back when she was going through some papers, music books and is trashing them. My mother had a humidity problem in her house with high levels of spores and is chosing to get rid of clothing she cant wash, stuffed furniture, silk flowers, plants, papers left out in open, and has hired a cleaning crew to help her thoroughly hep vac and wipe down the house and sealed wood or metals/glass furniture. Her problem was the venting in he master bath and the fact she had a hot tub in master bath. Guest guest
Robin after my first exposure I thought I was cross contaminating every new place that I moved into but now that I can sit here and think more objectively about it I think there's a good possibility that my system was so overloaded with toxins that I was just sick and it was going to take some time for my system to detox. When I started to detox is when I started to feel better and was no longer worried about cross contamination. Keep in mind that I was in WDB for 6 weeks 2 of which I had an industrial air scrubber going which helped immensely. I guess what Im trying to say is that your dog may not be making you sick, right now you have allot of toxins in your system and even though your out of your WDB your not going to get the relief you thought you were going right away, that wont happen until you've detoxed. If I remember correctly you lived in your WDB for years, its going to take a some time for you to feel like your old self again. I havent moved just yet but have a plan on how Im going to successfully move without fear of cross contamination, the only thing Im taking with me is my laptop everything else will be new. Even though Im taking such extreme precautions I know by my past experience that Im not going to feel better right away, it's going to take months for my health to return but as long as I avoid mold and certain chemicals recovery will eventually occur. Theres some days (like yesterday) when I wake up and I feel like death warmed over but as the day progresses I feel well enough to go to the gym, workout and sit in the sauna for 20 minutes than theres days like today when my symptoms are minimal and feel like moving wont be necessary. The weather here has been extremely warm for this time of year which means I can keep all the windows open but once the snow starts to fly thats when I'll more than likely have to move. Time will tell
