Guest guest
_Washington Missouri - Report: Mold Not Reaching Employees_ (http://www.emissourian.com/site/news.cfm?newsid=20418559 & BRD=1409 & PAG=461 & dept_\ id=653413 & r fi=8) _http://www.emissourian.com/site/news.cfm?newsid=20418559 & BRD=1409 & PAG=461 & d ept_id=653413 & rfi=8_ (http://www.emissourian.com/site/news.cfm?newsid=20418559 & BRD=1409 & PAG=461 & dept_\ id=653413 & rfi=8) Courthouse employees, primarily in the court clerk's office on the second floor, have been complaining about a possible mold presence for some time. Their concerns heightened once Sporiciden, a mold cleaner, was sprayed Jan. 15 in the building's ventilation system while they were present. They have complained of headaches, dizziness, fatigue and other ailments since. Employees said it seems like a mold smell increases when the HVAC unit kicks on. North said that is puzzling since the tests came back negative. " If you're drawing air in from another area, and now it's airborne, there is not much we can say because the proof says it's not, " he said. " The crazy thing is, everybody is saying they are smelling it and . . . it's not there. " The spore sample test followed an earlier one last month by West Kelley of Warrenton-based 7 Oaks Home Inspection. In that inspection, a mold identified as cladosporium was found in a rooftop HVAC unit and was suspected in three of the four units. Of five samples taken throughout the second floor between Feb. 16-22, mold was found in only one location, the air handler in the second-floor unit. As part of Kelley's report, he interviewed 11 employees Feb. 16 regarding their health issues. Of the 11, only one had no complaints about adverse health symptoms. " We are still having symptoms from something, " Circuit Clerk Jerri Jordan said. Sharon Noonan Kramer

Guest guest
Here is a novel idea: How bout we quit " educating " remediators that mold only harms immunocompromised people, so they will quit putting stuff in HVAC systems to get rid of the mold and quit blasting it into the air and lungs off immunocompetent people...who then suddenly and " inexplicably " start having chronic inflammation within various parts of their immune system. This begs the question, who are really the crazies in this issue? Sharon In a message dated 4/2/2010 6:08:22 A.M. Guest guest
But there is a hudge difference in being stupied and playing stupied. and I think there's alot of playing stupied, going on around here. what a better way to keep the public stupied than to play stupied. of all places that should be the least stupied about toxic mold, I'd think it would be missouri. the home of Monsanto,st.louis,mo. busch beer, purina dog food, flooding somewhere almost every year, with the lab's in st.louis, where many scientific studies actually get there yeast strains from, I would think st.louis,mo. would be more up on the toxic mold issue than anywhere. you got to be kindin me. it makes no sence, how can it be. it's just to much like the tobacco science story. and gee, the monsanto's outlet in la. discovered that " whatever " that kill's fungus and made a herbicide out of it. how long ago was that? yet it's just amaseing how hard it is to find relaible, knowledgable home testers around here. yet theres a lab in washington,mo. that supposedly will test for mycotoxins in samples sent to them. it just all makes no sence to me! what could possably be the problem here??? > > > > > > > > Here is a novel idea: How bout we quit " educating " remediators that mold > > only harms immunocompromised people, so they will quit putting stuff in > > HVAC systems to get rid of the mold and quit blasting it into the air and > > lungs off immunocompetent people...who then suddenly and " inexplicably " start > > having chronic inflammation within various parts of their immune system. > > This begs the question, who are really the crazies in this issue? > > > > Sharon > > > > >
