Why NOT a stressful reason to hold onto a belief?

Dear Loving What is,

I was doing the Work on various topics, using an old Work format and kept

running into trouble in one part. I was struggling with a question, about

" can you find a stress-free reason to hold onto that belief? " I see now that

it is not one of the four questions so it is not such a burning issue, but it

seems still a juicy one, so I offer it here.

" Can you find a stress-free reason to hold onto that belief? "

What is so wonderful about no stress? Isn't that a judgment that all stress

is bad and isnt it an impossible extreme to achieve no stress?

Isn't stress part of the Tao? Doesnt stress make the volcano erupt, the

water flow down the stream and smooth the rocks?

What about a little stress now to prevent big stress later?

I guess it comes down to I want to hang onto fear of homelessness/death as

being a reason to legitimate reason to hold onto certain beliefs.

Do people who let go of all beliefs that dont have a stress-free reason end

up blissed out for a short while, followed by death because they didn't take

on life's little stresses to prevent possible disasters? Don't people who

live such a life leech off of the other people in society who have been

willing to walk into stress in order to do what it takes to make the world go

around?

I know,I know, there's all kinds of responses to this. (My internal battle

continues). Maybe others share similar battles....

Namaste, Lynn
