Guest guest
I'm new here and have some questions about safe moving. Is it safe to keep furniture and household things if I wash & diffuse them with Thieves? We are moving soon and do not want to take mold with us. Our problem is primarily in the basement of our home. We are dumping everything down there, not taking any of that. We are also dumping clothing & bedding because our washer/dryer are down there. But, what about things like a wood dining table & chairs, dishes, cooking pots, computers? Is it safe to keep any of those things if they are washed with Thieves and diffused? How can I discern what to keep? I don't want to contaminate my new home. But, the expense of replacing everything we need is scary. Guest guest
I have found that the success in taking belongs is dependent upon how long they were exposed to the contaminated environment, the underlying health of occupants, and the porosity of the items. I have had a few clients that could not take anything. Most of the time, hard surfaced items can be effectively cleaned, provided they don't have a lot of grooves and crevices. Wood items that are finished generally can be damp-wiped, blown with compressed air, HEPA-vacuumed, then wiped again. Computers are a bit risky. I would consider getting a new one and copying the hard drive. Dishes can be cleaned in a dishwasher or submersed in water, rinsed and wiped. A big concern is where to clean the items, outside is a good place. Some people set up a canopy and invite friend to help. If done indoors, I recommend that an experienced content company do the work. Of course, this can become as expensive as replacing for many items. > > I'm new here and have some questions about safe moving. > Is it safe to keep furniture and household things if I wash & diffuse them with Thieves? > We are moving soon and do not want to take mold with us.
