Guest guest
nne, It sounds like you need to protect yourself only in the front entrance. Depending on the construction of the elevator shaft the smell (whether mold, bacteria, or something else) could be on any of the floors or even from the basement. As the elevator moves up and down it pushes and pulls air through the shaft. So, the question is, do you also smell the odor at the elevator on your floor? If not then the odor souce is most likely limited to the entrance and you only have to worry about it when you are in the entrance. Because you are not reacting in your unit you are NOT cross- contaminating your unit. Which is a clue that it is not mold spores or fragments but more likely the chemical emantions from mold growth that you are smelling. Assuming it actually is mold and not any of the other baker's dozen possible pollutants. That's the good news. The " bad " news is because it is very limited there is even less chance the management will do anything. Does anybody else have problems? If there are sufficient numbers who will notify management then maybe they will do something. Hopefully it will be more than hiring a " pump jockey " pulling a few samples and reading the history of the world in the mold spores (like tea leaves). Sorry for the sarcasm but I do mean this seriously. Based on the information you've posted this is not a major issue for you as your exposure is so limited that it is likely of little significance. And the mystery won't be solved by a few spore measuring samples. Carl Grimes Healthy Habitats LLC ----- Yes Carl, in my unit it seems to be fine. Its in The front entrance and I have to stand there and wait for the elevator. Not sure exactly where its coming from but I sure can smell it. Doc`s told me my body is full of toxins I hate to be breathing in more as I`am trying to rid myself of this crap. Right now I`am just holding my breath as I wait. nne~ > > nne, > > Do you smell mold elsewhere or just at the entrance?
