Guest guest
I just noticed that the same article, in Women's Day Magazine, with the Jeff May warning about pollution from candles, also has the below brief paragraph about the effects of mold, as a source of air pollution. The phrase " a FEW harmful strains " jumped off the page and poked me in the eye. I would guess that the magazine twisted Connie Morbach's actual words. Would someone who knows her personally, ask her if my guess is correct, so she can send a " letter to the editor " about being misquoted. " The Pollutant: Mold Believe it or not, a little bit of mold can be beneficial: Outdoors, it helps organic stuff decompose, says indoor-air scientist Connie Morbach. " But when those mold spores are activated by indoor moisture, they can grow out of control, " she explains. Excess fungus can induce unpleasant symptoms like itchy eyes and breathing problems. And a few harmful strains can attack your immune system. " http://health..net/rodale/WH/beat-bad-air-days
