God bless you and your Son, Sue. I can certainly relate. How about

diet? Has ph level been tested? Just grasping at straws here.

s> Why?

s> Because my son is slowly slowly declining in health w/each passing day,

s> he has been nonfunctional for nearly 4 years, he obviously has mold

s> problems, but he also has horrible allergies and just about every body

s> system is out of whack.

s> We tried the Dr. Gray protocol as best we could given that my son often

s> is awake when I am asleep and I have to administer the protocol because

s> he won't, and then we had to stop the CSM and several other meds because

s> of elevated liver enzymes. We will go back to it, but one med at a time

s> to find the offender.

s> In the meantime, many people (including on this list) have told me that

s> Dr. Rea is very thorough, he has a somewhat different approach (for

s> example I think he uses sauna detox rather than CSM or in addition), and

s> he is older, I believe he's seen 30,000 or more patients come thru his

s> clinic over the years.

s> We are not discounting Dr. Gray's diagnosis or protocol, I believe every

s> word of it, just looking for additive diagnoses and therapies.

s> My son does not " classically " present with any particular illness, for

s> example he doesn't go into a chemically or moldy place and feel worse

s> and then feel better when he gets out of it like so many of you do,

s> although these substances are undoubtedly bothering him.

s> I think he is not responding to treatment for one of the following reasons:

s> 1) doesn't adhere closely enuf to protocols although I doubt this

s> 2) haven't given it enuf time although I would have expected some small

s> improvement in some small way by now

s> 3) have tried various protocols sequentially and that is not enuf, need

s> to do them simultaneously (for example, allergy treatments back home

s> didn't help, but he was in the unbeknownst to us then moldy house, maybe

s> doing allergy treatments, detox, and living in Dr. Rea's environmental

s> housing will be enuf to tip him back in the direction of healing)

s> 4) just born w/funky immune system, maybe stem cell therapy will help,

s> and if not he is just screwed for life

s> 5) there is still some big missing piece of the puzzle, not yet

s> diagnosed. If that is the case, I figure that Dr. Rea who has seen just

s> about everything over the years, is more likely than anyone else to help

s> us figure it out.

s> Also, I have found that with every new doctor visit (docs in this space,

s> not your average conventional doc) we learn something else that propels

s> us forward on our quest to figure out this mess.

s> Also, my rental was up in Sedona, he was not getting better there, I had

s> terrible hay fever there in the last month, we have a toxicologist

s> running studies on our indoor air quality at home in SF so can't take

s> him home right now, have to go somewhere, may as well be somewhere where

s> we might learn something new and where he might start to heal.

s> His integrative medicine/primary care doc back home also considered

s> having him try LDA w/Dr. Shrader in Santa Fe but he is on medication

s> that conflicts with that therapy. He is also suggesting experimental

s> stem cell therapy south of the border or in India but my son is not yet

s> ready to try that.

s> My son is not a very compliant or easy patient, he is tired,

s> discouraged, fatigued, doesn't want to see doctors because they don't

s> help (so far), if I take him back home now I will never get him out of

s> the house again, he will curl up in his bed w/his computer and TV and

s> slowly ever so slowly fade away.

s> Bottom line, desperation!

s> So, that's the story. Wish us luck!

s> Sue
