Guest guest
Look, I don't need an overblown explanation of background radiation and Geiger counters. Any adult with an average level of intelligence knows what those concepts are. Your analogy fails, though, since measurements of amount are not the sole way that a mold problem is determined to be occuring. Since mold is everywhere, it doesn't make sense to call it out unless you're talking about a mold *problem* I don't say, " Well, I'm going outside, where there are your usual molds, " or, as you said, " Now I'm living in a house with background molds, " anymore than I say, " Well, I'm going to go for a walk, thanks to gravity. " All I wanted to know was why you would live in a house with a mold problem while telling everyone else exposed to the slightest amount of mold to leave everything behind and run (as you said to , who had some mold on some sheathing, which could be addressed without the more extreme and hysterical action of running away). I suppose you've answered, in a way. On Sep 14, 2010, at 6:08 AM, " joe " <josephsalowitz@...> wrote: Hi AN, Good Question. I guess that I just " invented " the term " background mold " . I suppose I adapted the term from the words " background radiation " . Our entire planet emanates radioactivity that we do not feel. This is scientifically called the " Background Level " of radiation. W
Guest guest
Good for you, ! And, yay!!!! that there's no more mold so far. I hope they find nothing in the end, and you have a safe place, finally, after so much searching and work. Your story still gets to me--how brave you were and then to find your Shangri La so fortuitously. It gives me hope! Rock on! BTW, it's coming along nicely. Every water source has been eliminated. A lot of demolishing.
