Guest guest
Since we also grow for markets and a co-op, I just use my mix from the big garden. Black seeded Simpson, red oakleaf, waldmanns dark green etc. Sent from my HTC smartphone on the Now Network from Sprint! ----- Reply message ----- To: <sproutpeople > Subject: Re: Broccoli Microgreens go Bad Date: Tue, Jul 24, 2012 3:28 pm What kind of lettuce sprouts are you growing? I'm still trying to figure out what I want to grow on a regular basis. They seemed just fine yesterday. I noticed that Sproutpeople has a comment in their growing instructions about trying to eat soon after harvesting as microgreens don't tend to keep very long (not like sprouts) in the fridge. Maybe the thing to do is only harvest a part of the batch at a time instead of the whole thing at once like I did...? > > > > > > Dona > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
That would be nice to be able to grow enough to sell to coops and stores or restaurants and then get them for yourself as well. I am really learning how to grow as I go. I have something I may need to ask EW what it is. It is a vining plant and I figure it is cucumber, yellow squash or zucchini. but I planted and put a light on it and they were leggy and are now growing up my blinds and windows. Have to get down soon and put them in a container with a trellis. My beans are still not put out any flowers or beans. They have been out for a couple of months now and seem to be taking long, but are growing fairly well. Any ideas from anyone?  Carolyn Wilkerson  ________________________________ To: sproutpeople Sent: Tuesday, July 24, 2012 10:33 PM Subject: Re: Re: Broccoli Microgreens go Bad  Since we also grow for markets and a co-op, I just use my mix from the big garden.
