Thanks for sharing that article. I really needed to hear that...the

so sorry about the visit from Arthur

I have had my days where I have let him overstay his visit

but have definitely found Tae-Bo the best way to make him behave

(for a few hours anyways)

BTW the Yoga Lady actually helped my knees!!!!!

you sit up str8 on the floor with legs str8 out in front of you

you flex one foot at a time tensing up the quads and knee as hard as you can

for 10 seconds, then do the other one, then do both at same time

after doing this 2 or 3 times

you rub your knees real good

Barb

who has mentally thanked the Yoga Lady a few times for this exercise & has

found my knees alot better most of the day afterwards

I've got arthritic knees and I'm certainly going to try this. Thanks Barb!

Are there any differences that

Shellie always kept the tempo up, very cardio. Seemed like a lot of

kicking combos and punching combos.

Jasmine,

Taking class from Jasmine was like taking class from a very, very, very

bouncy ball. You always felt like she was ready to jump through the

ceiling. She liked squats and squat-front kick combs,

squat-roundhouse, squat-sidekick combos.

Irene?

Irene was like a drill seargent (sp). Rarely smiled, but taught a

really tough class. Always brought the bag around to kick or punch.

What are their strengths and

You know each one was so different. They were all very strong teachers.

Lol..yeah, I can see your point.

That would make it really interesting..and over time I can see where

your form would have to be very good in order to keep up with the

changes.

I agree, I never expected to see the results that I have seen. I'm a

long way from cut, but that is my own fault for taking it a little too

easy on myself after losing the excess weight. I started because I

wanted to be able to move like the people on the infomercials...the

weight loss was a surprise and once I got the form down I have been

cruising..just doing the basic live 1..4 times a week. But will start

challenging myself again as soon as the inflammation in my neck gets

back under control.

And sitting in front of this pc isn't helping matters..so thanks for

sharing, and g-night.

-who forgot to ask..what is your workout routine now? How often

and which tapes...and how does your body respond when you take time

off? If you take time off..you maniac..lol ;)

- Why feel guilty. You work hard on the rest of your body.

You can't make those bigger, smaller, firmer, softer with exercise.

Get a little help with it. There's no shame in that. And frankly, if

I had it to do again, I would do it in a heartbeat!

Never be ashamed!

I work out four days a week, Mon, Wed, Fri and Sat OR Sun. Mon Wed i

go to class, Fri i usally kickbox (i belong to another gym that has

great boxing and kickboxing classes) and on the weekend i either go to

Bodies in Motion for class on Saturday or to Garrett's on Sunday and

hour and a half class.

If i do the tape (i only have the first advanced one) it's because i

can't find time to get to class or the gym.

How often

After you've been doing any kind of exercise program your body

developes " muscle memory. " So, you can take off for 3 months, 6 months

and it only takes you about a month of really hard work to get it back.

Of course if you put on too much fat or lbs. that's a whole other

issue.

If you take time off..

And yes, i do take time off. Sometimes my life gets very hectic. I

have finally learned to allow myself that time. The one thing that I

try to always be good about is eating a healthy diet. Not just for

weight purposes but because I'm 46 years old (of course I believe i

look 30, and I feel 20, and there's no one more immature than me - lol)

and i have a 12 year old and i want to be around for a long time.

Have a great one!

That's too funny....I have this picture that my aunt took of me a week

after I gave birth, all I have on is underwear. Man, talk about some

boobs. I looked at that picture the other day and couldn't believe

that they were actually ever that big. I think I was a 38 F or

something. My boobs got HUGE when I was pregnant and then

breastfeeding. In fact they were so big, that it really didn't even

look like I was that far along when I was 9 months pregnant...the boobs

went out farther than the stomach (at least that's my theory). Well,

anyway, I wish there was some way to alter that picture (put a top on

me) so that could be my before picture, because it is such a profound

difference from then until now. I'm finally back to my regular 36 C

and to look at them now they look so tiny...even though I'll never be

" tiny " . I am glad I have that picture now, though, because whenever I

get discouraged, I just take it out and look at it to see exactly how

far I have really come.

who would have loved to see the look on the person's face who developed

those pictures...LOL

Hey, I had mine removed!! And I paid a whole $10 for it. My insurance

covered the whole thing. I was a 34-36F. Now I'm a 36C. Before I gained

the last 15 pounds, I was a 34C/36B, and I'mhohing to get back to that with

the loss of the weight.

There was a down side though. I lost sensation in larger areas of skin. I'm

hoping that with time it will return. They say 2 years, 3 at the most. I'm

coming up on 3, and I think its just starting to come back, so I'm not sure

what to expect.

I also bled like a stuck pig during the surgery, lost a full 1200cc of

blood. Lucky I didn't need transfused. But that was because I had

recently stopped nursing my last baby. We thought everything had dried up,

but were surprised to find it hadn't. And since it hadn't the whole area

was very vascular.

Soooo, if you want to do it, check with your insurance co, and go for it.
