Guest guest
Hi, folks, Anyone have any tips on how to deal with the HOA Director? Any experience or advice? He's ordered air quality tests in our condo after mold and water remediation work was done for the last 37 days. Looks like they may do a roof inspection too. Landlord already installed the new living room carpet and installed new kickplates in the kitchen. Cabinets in kitchen were partially remediated, instead of replaced. Now they smell like baked, mildewed wood instead of fresh mildewed wood. Oh, dear. I'm starting to pack out things. Moving soon might be the best thing to do. Guest guest
I was basically in the same situation you are but I was buying my condo. The HOA will spend the least amount of money possible and beings your renting your landlord will more than likely do the same. If I were you I'd do everything possible to get out of the lease and move. Chances are if your already ill whatever belongings you take with you will only exasperate your symptoms. I lived in my condo for 6 weeks and lost everything I own, Im financially ruined and even though Im on antifungals my health has been severely impacted. Guest guest
Thank you for sharing your experience. I'm so sorry that you had to go through that! No one should have to go through it!! There'll be an air quality test tomorrow in our condo. So, I can start looking at other places for us to live. Jocelyn
Guest guest
How long were you living in the moldy enviornment? What are your symptoms, have you seen a Dr who knows how to treat mold exposure? --- In , Sharon Van Treek -Le Coeur <svtlc@...> wrote: > > Thank you for your kind reply...what scares me the most is my neighbor, who's apt. looked like mine passed away last month, and I just found out from a previous rental agent that her boss who livwd on-site also passed away with the exact symtoms of my neighbor..This is SCARY!! Guest guest
Getting air tests is a good idea but if your already getting sick that in my opinion is the only air test your going to need to confirm that your going to have to move. > > Thank you for sharing your experience.
