Guest guest
Sorry to see you go Duane. And this is NOT idle chit chat. People are learning new stuff all the time on these forums. I've been learning about Peripheral neuropathy for YEARS now. Why not share what I know. It's always good to help others and share what we know. We ARE our brother's keeper after all. Guest guest
I don't think there's been any idle chitchat, either. Off topic, maybe, but very informative. He does have a point about posts not being shaved, though. It's just about impossible sometimes to tell where a new post begins, with all the clutter that people don't delete when they respond to a post. I have my e-mail set to automatically delete the original post, and I'll copy something into it if I want old info there. H.
Guest guest
Charlotte,If choose to do that let me know and I will help you find a free one I know there are tons out there.  Want to understand the Bible better?  FREE  studies.  For more info Just ask! ________________________________ To: sproutpeople Sent: Saturday, June 9, 2012 9:35 AM Subject: Re: why I'm leaving  You may possibly have already hit the button to leave the group in which case adios etc. Thing is, this is a community, a social group, and this group does not have the luxuries of a forum board with its functionality. In a forum, things can be put neatly into little categories and forums always have general sections for people to do their 'idle chit chat' and other people can choose to read, or not to read. Simple as. I don't think it is ever 'idle chit chat' in a social group where people find many areas of common ground although I see your point in that people are not always talking sprouts/shoots. Much of the 'idle chit chat' has actually been generated through the common interest of sprouting and some discussion or other directly linked to sprouts. Anyway, the fact that forums always have 'off-topic' sections filled with threads is because thats what human beings do. They get social. It is hardly the fault of this group that there are so many limitations imposed through yahoo groups design. How could you possibly expect people not to become sociable with one another? How on earth are people here supposed to limit their messages to a group of 'wanna reads' and omit the group of 'don't wanna reads'? And I don't for a second believe there would actually be any sort of community group here if the limits were set to only discussing sprouting, because THE SAME PEOPLE WHO DO THE 'IDLE CHIT CHAT' ARE THE ACTIVE PEOPLE WHO POST HELP AND ADVICE TO ANYONE WHO ASKS AND IBDEED ARE GENERALLY THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO DO THAT!!!!!!!! Where have your posts always been, when people needed help? Oh but you're happy enough to chime up now! The damned cheek! I keep saying that it's not a forum. But I think that if you're an ex-computer geek and you are able to produce a forum for the sprouting community here, it might solve everyones problems. It'll keep you happy, anyway! I'm actually REALLY hacked off with reading odd peoples comments when they aren't interested in other peoples posts. It's not necessary to stick the boot in and tell people where to get off, because that is effectively what those posts are saying, no matter how politely (or rudely). People just need to hit the unsubscribe button and have done without the grand drama queen exit. Me, I'm pretty damned tempted to set up a forum board so that people can talk about anything to their hearts desire, as well as their love of sprouting, without getting shot down in flames. Thank you, thank you, to all the regular posters here who have always helped me with everything I have needed help and advice on, and who have educated my eating as well as my sprouting, and given me a smile whenever I've needed it. You guys and gals all know who you are. Credit where credit is due there! I guess in the meantime, we ought to get back to sprouts and shoots before we all get shot down in flames!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Charlotte P.S. Just saying it how it is. > > Way too much idle chit-chat that should be on one of the social > networks. I don't see what much of this has to do with sprouts.
