Hi

My dd ( 18 ,severe AST) started valtrex on Friday on the recommendation of Dr G

following testing that showed very high levels of IGG to varicella zoster. She

also has severe OCD.

She had 2, 500 mg doses on friday and 3 doses Saturday.She has been awake all

sat evening and has been sick twice in quick sucession.

I don't know whether to continue the valtrex tomorrow or abandon it . Is this

side effect likely to pass or get worse if I continue to give her it.

She is very severely affected and can't really tell me how she is feeling.

Hi

Many thanks, that's what I had decided and have given her a 500 mg dose this

morning.

She is looking a bit green around the gills though.

It will be disappointing if she can't tolerate it but I guess we will have to

try naturals instead.
