Guest guest
True cast iron cookware takes lots of care... no soap just elbow grease and tough brushes to clean... I then oil both inside and out place in 180 degree oven to dry and season. My daughter has a stove that I had to get her ceramic cast iron.. I don't think that needs the seasoning but they use the cast iron on the grill as they like the taste Debbie in NJ > > I'm pretty sure cast iron cookware is safe. In testing cookware, a group of chefs felt cast iron skillet was the best. After it is used for a while and cared for property it works like it has a non-stick coating. They are also inexpensive.
