Does anybody know if there are regulations regarding the room temperature in the nursery? We have a group who like Sahara heat, and another that hotflashes and we just can't find a happy medium....especially when you have one of each working. One site has it all. Most NICUs I have worked in in the past kept the thermostat at 70-71. Those who liked heat were told to put a teeshirt under their scrubs and a scrubs jacket to keep warm . The ones with hot flashes chewed on ice chips to cool off or brought a little portable fan to aim at their face.
