Guest guest
Yes, we had jaundice (born at 42 weeks). Also on examination liver was enlarged, told to come back at 6 week check and it was normal. Next time we were seen it was enlarged again and then normal. This continued during his early years. On examination more recently " liver edge was palpable " . I also suffered tremendously with thrush throughout my pregnancy. emily > > > > Hi > > > > My son with autism didn't have jaundice, but my NT son did! > > > > Kay. > > > > ---- Original Message ----- > > From: JULIE GRIFFITHS > > To: Autism-Biomedical-Europe > > Sent: Saturday, November 29, 2008 9:52 AM > > Subject: Re: Re: Jaundice and autism? > > > > > > I'd like to hear from anyone who did NOT see jaundice in their > newborn. > > So far everyone who has responded has seen jaundice. > > > > > > > > Emma schrieb: > > > > > > Mine too! > > > > > > Emma > > > > > > ---------------------------------------------------------- > > > > > > No virus found in this incoming message. > > > Checked by AVG. > > > Version: 7.5.552 / Virus Database: 270.9.11/1818 - Release > Date: 28/11/2008 19:31 > > > > > >

Guest guest
Hi, missed your original request for this. No jaundice here that I remember either. Also 10 days overdue, emergency section, meconium stained waters when broken. After two days admitted to SCBU for hypoglycaemia (was starting to judder) as he was not feeding and no bugger believed me till he began to shake. Next boy (neurotypical) also emergency section, also hypoglycaemic and admitted to same cot in SCBU at two days old when he aspirated residual gunk and actually stopped breathing. Three years later I had a daughter who managed to come out as God intended (despite a universal desire for me to have a selected section) - and I managed to get her home the next day without any visits to SCBU. I felt like the cleverest woman on earth. Did you come to any conclusions about the jaundice/not jaundiced issue? (BTW I also asked them to avoid clamping the cord till she had taken her first breath - again it seemed like I was asking for voodoo).
