Air purifers for chemicals

I had an incident today that made me accept the fact that Im reacting to

chemicals at my current residence and not from mold. While I think I know what

the offending chemical is Im not quite sure so for the time being I was thinking

of buying an air purifier for my bedroom. The Dr that I saw today sells the

Austin Air JR for around $325.00 but before I spend any money on an air purifier

I thought I'd get some input from the people who actually use them.

Any input would greatly be appreciated.

Thank you
