Guest guest
Hi from a very cold and wet New Zealand. Haven't posted for a wee while but have been busy preparing IEP meetings and dealing with the usual burocracey. But thought I would share my excitement when I took my 4 year old twins Sam and Hamish (DS) to kindy on Friday morning. This little boy came up to Hamish with a piece of paper, telling Hamish he wanted him to have it. Hamish was a bit bewildered and did not know what was going on, but the little boy's Mum came up and explained. Apparently the little boy was going to have Birthday Party in two weeks time and his Mum hadn't quite got the invitations and the time organised yet, but her son Harry wanted to do a special invitation for Hamish. I felt so chuffed that Hamish should be invited, as I was bracing myself for the times when Sam would get an invitation to go to a party and Hamish wouldn't, but still was a wee bit sad for Sam. This was the first party invite the boys had had and who should get one first but my wee Hamish! Sam wasn't worried at all - in fact he was very happy for Hamish, which was lovely. Funny how Mum's get all hung up on these things!! - Mum to Hamish (DS) and Sam: 4 years old
