I have a patient that is on 5mg of methimazole given by her doctor for

hyperthyroid. I have given her 8, 273, 1000 and 16, 273, 1000. She hasn't

expressed any change in symptoms, but the only symptom she has had in the past

of hyperthyroid for her is hair loss. The anti-thyroid medication has improved

her TSH and she has no racing heart symptoms or other excess thyroid symptoms.

I also started her on leonorus and based on my review of what others

would feel comfortable during breastfeeding and noticing no adverse effects

indicated for breastfeeding.

However, she feels that her hair loss is a little worst and she has a worried

mind. I am repeating thyroid labs. I am also supporting vitamin D levels to

optimal and have her on cornus.

Wondering if unda 10, 16, 273 would be okay for her, especially 10 which is for

female hormones when she is still breastfeeding.

Any other suggestions for supporting thyroid?

She has done celiac testing and it is negative. I am thinking that the cyrex

gluten panel would be helpful if she doesn't notice improvement. The goal is to

help her eventually wean off of the methimazole given any improvements with unda

and herbs to support and manage her thyroid.

Much appreciated for your thoughts.
