Hi All,Yesterday the Long Beach Press-Telegram ran a front page article on Down syndrome awareness and . We have had many friends and neighbors say how much they loved the article I wanted to share it with our friends who don't get the paper. I just want to make sure you all know I never said anything about not having any DS features at birth! There were a few miss prints and that one came out of left field. He definitely did but to us it didn't matter and we looked past them. I am so afraid it will offend some parents.Miriam

Hi! I thought that was a great article. I wish there were more people

willing to help undo the stigma of DS. Just in the last week, Law and

Order and Law and Order SVU, both made comments about DS

and 'therapuetic abortion' and the 'risks of having a baby over 40,

like Down Syndrome. My son is the light of our lives, yes we have

concerns and there was sadness when he was first born, but we would

have him no matter what, he is perfect to us! Thank you for the

article!
