Guest guest
This is really amazing. After wearing this mold-grade filtration mask for a about 2 hours, my voice is almost completely back, 85% back. Even sleeping outside for 8 hours did not restore my voice but only to about 20%. I've been dealing with this problem for a few weeks now and have alternated between sleeping outside and sleeping inside. Sleeping inside is the worst. This alows me to recover my voice about 15%, and I wake up with my nose clogged and it hurts to slallow, and lots of mucous coming out my nose. So here are my stats: outside 8 hours = 20% voice recovery inside clean bedroom w/ vynal flooring, on a bed, with high-grade paper & carbon A/C filtration & door closed = 15% recovery wearing a 3M 60923 nose & mouth covered gas-mask for 2 hours = 85% voice recovery. This is assuming I went to bed unable to speak, which is often the case. I lose my voice at work. There's this huge mountain of clothes in the middle of a huge building and the leaky roof just drips water in to it, and that is my work environment. Yesterday, I only completely lost my voice right after sweeping the entire floor of the constomer's area. I better not say the name of the co, but Could Kill or lose my voice completely, neatly, seatly. I highly resent working there, knowing that these guys are giving out charity, and people are making donations with the idea that they are going to charity, when, in fact, they are cutting corners and ruining their workers health, just to make a little more profit, and when I told the manager about the mold, the leak, and the clothes mountain, she suggested I see a doctor & take medication for my voice-loss. I do not believe in supressive medicine, and I do not believe it's right to trick my body's immune system in to not defending itself against a threat that causes damage to the body's neural system. Why dont they, instead, 1 get rid of the clothes pile, which they are capable of, and have done before, and 2 fix the damned roof, whether the plumber can find a leak or not. Reseal the whole roof. It's all about cutting corners and screwing over the wage-slave in this country. Job after job, I have found the same awful conditions. This country has gone to hell. Guest guest
I am so glad you are finding some relief. One of the things that also helps me when I lose my voice is to rinse my sinuses with saline before going to bed. My doctor suggested that I add a drop of hydrogen peroxide to the saline - I use a Nettie pot with the pre-measured saline packets. It seems to be working. Good luck.
