Guest guest
I wonder if it would okay to take a misting bottle, fill with distilled water, add some Liquid Kelp and then use this to mist the sprouts. That way, no chlorine, no fluoride, no nothing. Sound okay? Whether or not one uses distilled water for drinking is a whole other matter but just knowing that there is no chlorine or fluoride being misted on the sprouts and greens would be cool, no?? Guest guest
I personally wouldn't use kelp on my sprouts or microgreens, since there isn't enough growing time to disperse the flavor it would impart to them, nor do they NEED any type of nutrient since they are bursting with their own, but that is just my personal assessment. Spraying them with just the water would be fine though...just be sure your spray bottle is food grade plastic, or glass (I order glass spray bottles from ebay) > > > > > > > > Having a conversation on a forum I mod about distilled water, and I will > > > > throw this in. > > > > > > > > From a forum member: > > > > Hallelujah - someone else finally agrees that distilled water is nature's > > > > perfect gift. Guest guest
Yep, that is what I use-the perfume bottles. I put my homemade eye drops in them (wonderful for spritzing dry eyes), my homemade hand soap (easy to spray on when in a public bathroom and don't want to use the harsh chemical stuff), homemade hand sanitizer (peroxide/baking soda), etc-I use them for everything! The biggest size is like a 10ml, which needs to be refilled often for things like spraying your sprouts, but still workable. I also have a stainless steel " oil mister " which is bigger and holds more. > > > > > > > > > > > > Having a conversation on a forum I mod about distilled water, and I will > > > > > > throw this in. > > > > > > > > > > > > From a forum member: > > > > > > Hallelujah - someone else finally agrees that distilled water is nature's > > > > > > perfect gift. Guest guest
In response to an earlier post, I don't think putting water out in sunlight will remineralize water. You need to add a mineral solution and/ or a celtic natural salt that will mineralize the water. Sent from my BlackBerry® powered by Virgin Mobile. Guest guest
When I tested tap water (less acidic but more polluted), distilled water, water from a Puri filter and water from my Brita filter they were ALL ACIDIC so I purchased a H2gO filter ($70.00 with 1 extra filter). I first filter my tap water using a Brita filter system then fill the H2gO filter (20oz) with this water. This makes the water a 10+ alkaline. Which is now the only water I drink. Subject: Re: distilled water To: sproutpeople Date: Friday, April 27, 2012, 9:36 AM  Oh, Olive Oil Spray Bottles. They sell this at my local Telco. Going there later on to check. How cool!!! Guest guest
Guess it depends on what the process is for creating minerals, .
