Guest guest
Hi, If there is visible mold, there may be hidden mold as well. In my opinion (others please chime in ) you should look for a different place. Going from mold to mold happened to me. Place number 2 not visible and we became trapped once again.   God Bless !! dragonflymcs Mayleen ________________________________ From: qkcam45 <qkcam45@...> Sent: Wed, June 30, 2010 12:16:07 AM Subject: [] moving from moldy dusty old garage  I found a place to move to..finally.. out of this damp moldy garage- and also found out there is an enviromental clean up of the soil in my current neighborhood - at the new place i saw mold around the window.. this was very discouraging- the new landlord doens't really seem to have alot of follow through.. will need to find a way to erridicate the mold myself i guess. although there is some mold- i think overall it must me a better place.. has to be better than a damp old small garage w/ no kitchen.. ?? Guest guest
I like the idea of finding a " non " molding place. however, since the city inspector came out and inspected my building - i only hve 30 days to find a new place and to get everything out. with an old dog i might not hve much choice but to go into the mold again. > > Hi, > > If there is visible mold, there may be hidden mold as well. In my opinion > (others please chime in ) you should look for a different place. Going from > mold to mold happened to me. Place number 2 not visible and we became trapped > once again. > >  >  > > God Bless !! > dragonflymcs > Mayleen >
Guest guest
I left everything, so have many others here. Taking them with you is just taking the mold with you as well.  I cannot help you find a place except to give you some info that can help you. If you give a deposit on another place that is moldy, how soon before you can do that again?? All your porous belongings will have mold spores.   Look on line for safe housing for MCS maybe there is something in your area. Guest guest
i don't know where you are, but in my area everyone lists rentals on craigslist, which can also lead you to property managers and rental agents, watch out for scammers, don't fill out online rental applications, make sure the property address actually exists.... lots you can look for, even being a lay person, that will give you clues about possible mold... sue >I left everything, so have many others here. Guest guest
it is complicated.. i have an old dog that can't do steps- and the bombs in my neighborhood in the getto here are horrendous- not to mention i have been living in illegal garage for 10 years who knows what else besides the mold is making me ill. i am hoping the mold is superficial as the previous tennants never opened the windows- there was no air circulation- i guess bascially i am screwed for another year- but i will at least have a kitchen and windows with lots of window light- and i just wont buy an expensive furniture. if the mold gets bad or comes back after they clean it- then i probably have an option to bail out of the lease- but at this time since the city inpsected my current living sit i have 30 days to get my stuff out- and no where else to go but the " new place " hard to relocate with an old dog- that needs a yard and cant' do steps. i have to look at is as a step up in the right direction... i have to try to stay positive- otherwise the depression will paralize me. thanks c > > i don't know where you are, but in my area everyone lists rentals on > craigslist, which can also lead you to property managers and rental > agents, watch out for scammers, don't fill out online rental > applications, make sure the property address actually exists.... > > lots you can look for, even being a lay person, that will give you clues > about possible mold... > > sue > >
Guest guest
I'm so sorry about your situation. If you can't find another place, tell the landlord you have allergies. Someone could help you put a clause to for your protection. Praying things will get better.
