Guest guest
My son's clinic is Gordon Medical, although not this doctor. I read a section of his book which is on display while in the waiting room, the section on financing medical care or something like that, I thought he made some good points but was simplistic and maddening..... he talked about how in his experience oftentimes people with less money are more willing to pay for their medical care than people with more money....something like that... Reading it irritated me because I view the reality of people with chronic mystery illnesses being pretty willing to part with their dollars as much as they have to part with, but the REALITY is depending on how much $'s they started with, sooner or later they run out, they still have the mystery illness, and then they stop going to the doctor altogether... When I read something like this I wonder do the doctors have any clue at all the financial burden this is for their patients?? THis is a clinic that does not take medical insurance, I don't blame them, adn has opted out of Medicare too. The doctors charge $350 per hour, and then there are all the expensive therapies, lab tests, etc. They are smart and we have learned so much about what is wrong, they are more helpful than anywhere else we've been, but we have yet to find a path to healing, I call it and all the docs and clinics the big medical mystery rat hole that I just keep dumping dollars into... My 82 yo mom loves this particular doctor!! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!
