Barb, thank VERY much for all the info. I called about the Aprilaire and

probably will go with that. Do you have a gauge like thermostat that you can

see what your humidity level is?

I have the Aprilaire whole house humidifier on my furnace and it works and

does not get moldy. The old furnace that was here when I got house also

had an Aprilaire whole house humidifier on it but of course older model. I

remember Jeff May saying I need not worry about that one. Also I believe

incidentally that Jeff has the Aprilaire whole house filter on his furnace in

his new place. *Not
