Go to www.sproutpeople.org and check their list. The sell more sprouting seeds

than anyone. I know money is tight for you and you probably can't afford to buy

from Sprout People. Check their list, then see what you can find locally. Do

over look health food stores. However, check dates, buy fresh.

Shelled pumpkin and hulled sunflower can be used, but not for sprouts. You use

them for soaks. Put the seed to soak for eight to 12 hours. Drain and rinse.

Rinse again in another 8-12 hours. Do this for three days. When the little roots

start to show, they are ready to eat. And quite yummy. Plus nutritious.

Ernest.

I have hulled sunnies in my house. If I grow them as soaks, are they more

nutritious than if I just ate them as is.

I can do soaks and the sprinkle them on my sprout salad right? That would boost

the nutrition of my already nutritious salad??

Thanks, Melody

You can sprout cauliflower, collards, chard, kale, any beans, turnips,

lettuce, carrots, onions, mustard, broccoli, brussels sprouts, you name

it. Finding some of the ones on your list may be impossible unless you

want to pay big bucks to a seed catalog that sells them organically, though.

Just like when you were a kid, except no salt.
