Guest guest
Does anyone have a Whole House Air Cleaner installed in their home? A friend just mentioned it to me and I really didn't know much about them. Are they worth the investment? These people lived in Mesa, AZ and said it really helped with their children's allergies and the were concerned about the Valley Fever dust. They have moved to another part of the state but plan to have one installed in their new home. Sue R.

Guest guest
Sue do you have a link to Aprilaire whole house air cleaner that you were priced? I have a Lennox Clean Air Effects 5 inch filter housing that says it will take a MERV 16 filter which I bought but it lets air leak around it. > > Thank you. Guest guest
Our AC company sent me some info about the Aprilaire. Model 2410 would be $595 installed. The 2410 replaces the 2200/2400 model. _www.aprilaireair.com_ (http://www.aprilaireair.com) Filter will last a yr. maybe longer and a new one is $40. Our furnace is very clean and we have oil heat. My service man cleans it every fall and always says it is extremely clean. Hope that helps some. Sue do you have a link to Aprilaire whole house air cleaner that you were priced? Guest guest
Sue, that's not bad. Did they give you a MERV rating on the filter or did you get to see it? > > Our AC company sent me some info about the Aprilaire. Model 2410 would be > $595 installed. Guest guest
I could not access the April Air website tonight, but I have been researching a company called Aller Air. They have several MCS (Multiple Chemical Sensitivity) air purifiers, and several other models both for particles and for VOLATILE ORGANIC COMPOUNDS. They had the forethought in design to build the unit itself out of inert components and paints. Brilliant. They have some really great people and are advocating for cleaner air every day. You should check them out. www.allerair.com On Nov 12, 2010, at 1:19 PM, ssr3351@... wrote: > Our AC company sent me some info about the Aprilaire. Model 2410 would be > $595 installed.
