Hi,

to me, when I exceed my pain threshold I get really sick!"

I get nausea too. If the pain is really bad, I end up being breathless

too, sometimes so bad they gave me oxygen. It happened once too in the

op theatre, where they were giving me a nerve block, the pain was so bad

that I was sitting up and gasping for breath. They called it hyperventilating,

I think. The body is not really lack of oxygen, but sometimes the pain

can get quite bad it makes people sick.

Ling,

It is very common for people to become nauseated and ill because of the pain.

And when pain is really bad being breathless - gasping for air is common.

Know that you are not alone in these reactions and that it is something you

can expect and deal with. Knowing that does make it easier. Honest!

Ling

Well, in my

case it is NOT hyperventilating because my oxygen saturation levels drop!

But yes,

when you hyperventilate you are depriving your tissues of oxygen.

Hyperventilation causes you to have high carbon dioxide levels in your

blood because you are not allowing the exchange of gases to take place

due to the speed of your breathing.

Does that

make sense? Suffering from Brain Rot.. or allergies, or both!

Pain question

> Do your kids get pain in the arms while the IVIG infusion is running? >>

Is the site swollen or red? Could the medication possibly infiltrated into

the arm? That happened to Cassie but it infiltrated into the chest wall.

It was very painful and tylenol w/codeine helped with the pain. Hope he is

feeling better soon.

The only time Sam has experienced pain during the infusion is when the

solution was too cold and when the IV slipped and was pumping the med

outside of the vein.

I know that when the IV slipped after my C-Section with Christi, it was

very painful. The pain actually lasted off and on for a couple of months

(ironic, considering the med was demerol)

Hope it doesn't turn into a pattern.

God bless,

Wenoka

Same here. I scheduled RHR for May 25th to give me time to get my life organized, and right hip and knee have now gotten much worse. Had to go from cane to crutches. Wondering now if I can make it to May 25th.

Pain Question

Is it just me or have any of you experienced this? When I made the decision to go forward and having a THR, my pain has gone off the board. It is hard to believe that my arthritis and my condition has gotten that much worse in the past couple of months and was wondering how much of this is in my head. Do you think that your mind works like a pain med for years and when you wise up, it lets you know what the real story is?Just curious as to what your experience has been.Take care and have a great day.Danny

, It's funny but now that you say it, the same thing happened

to me. I had been strugling with my pain for years but once I decided

to have the surgery it got worse. I think in my mnd I had

finaly " given up " and deciding to have the surgery I finaly realized

how bad my joints were. Good luck, things will get better.

Thats what I had to do..mainly because it was easier and my memory fails me

at times, but most importantly it helps the doc at the end of the day report

your sx. in his notes more accurately. I used to go in there telling him I

had this sx and that sx and then I'd read the report he wrote saying how

wonderfully well I was and I wondered who in the world was he talkin about. Its

also

a protection of your record. DO IT DEFINITELY........ My doc appreciates it.

and it has ended up helping me in the long run dealing with the Comp aspect of

it. Write it down type it out, keep a copy for yourself. You never know when

you need it. These docs see many pts per day do their reports at the end of

the day, this way he has no excuse for confusing your sx. with another pt.

Which happened to me several times before I got into the walking in with a

documented paper of my sx. It protects you.and yes you can't always remember how

bad

that pain was when you are sitting in the doc's office.....so write it,

document it. keep a copy for yourself. We live in a fast moving world of

reality

and you can't expect a guy who has seen 40- 50 pts in one day to remember

exactly what you said........Great idea. I always do it and it has served me

well

so far.

Hi Jill, I don't know if this will help but until you see

Dr.O'Brien, might I suggest that you contact you local Orthopedist

(if you have one available) or even your family docotr and explain

the situation. Ask him/her if they'd be willing to prescribe a short

course of an opoid (narcotic) to keep your pain controlled until you

can see the other guy. If you don't have a personal physician

available, goto your local ER. Most hospitals are bound by

the " Patient's Pain Care Bill of Rights " meaning they are obligated

to treat you with dignity...not just as a " drug seeker " . If your

local ER is not familiar with the Pain Care Bill of Rights, refer

them to The American Pain Foundation at www.painfoundation.org !

Good luck,

Beth

Have any of you ever had problems balancing your bodies energy from mold? I get

this tightness on one side, the rest other is okay. It does travels to the

opposite. Is it related to

EMF sensitivity?

I went to a Chinese MD who balanced it with an EAV & have to go back. They test

& treat with it. It's the only thing I have found that works.

Yes! I go to a Jin Shin therapist who balances my energy. It helps alot! My

energy is all over the place. My left side is bad mostly but sometimes it's the

right side that gets a kind of carpal tunnel nerve pain all the way up to my ear

and then I can't really hear (which by the way is my go-to sign that there is

mold in a car-bad right side energy).

Look up Jin Shin-it's amazing stuff.

Thank you. Sorry to say, I'm glad I'm not the only one.

I'll read about Jin Shin. I'm miserable. Got a bad spasm, that up my

neck to the top of my head & get dizzy, vertigo.

Got to get some help to release it.
