Hi Sharon

I forgot to introduce myself. I'm . I live in Kingsville TX. I was

diagnosed in 1996 with Hepc. I went through 14 months of Interferon

treatment at that time. At the end of treatment the virus was undetectable,

but was back within 6 months. I have just completed 15 months of the combo

treatment. I don't know what my viral load is right now. I have an

appointment with the Dr. tomorrow and will get the results of my last pcr

test done in October last year.

Hi . I'm on peg-intron and Amantadine. The

Amantadine is new to the combo. I am a study patient

(another term for guinea pig) I did shot 16 out of 48

last week. I am a genotype 2b so I am very positive

about treatment.

We are practically neighbors. I'm in Houston.

Hi ,

Welcome to the group. Where are you from?? Im on the lower

mainland in BC. Opps guess I should introduce myself.. Im ,

mom to who had DS and had AML. He was diagnosed in Jan 2001.

He has also had 4 open heart surgeries. Just like to keep me hoping

I guess..LOL I hope that you are able to stay home now for a bit

and get that much needed break from hospital life.

Hi All,

I have shot 33 tonight with 15 to go. I am feeling fine and haven't had

to cut down on any of my activities. I had an appointment with my GI doc

last week and blood tests still show that I am undetectable for the

virus.

I will be starting my Fall travel schedule in a couple of weeks ending up

in Anchorage in the middle of January. I use a Palm Pilot to keep track

of my schedule and have found it an invaluable tool to keep me from

forgetting what I have to do.

I hope everyone else is doing well on tx and after tx.

SuZie I use my calendar.. It can be set up for reminders..A week a day even 15 minutes..I usually do it for 12 hours before.. I get spacey to..SuZie you do know that the lactalose is to help remove the toxins (ammonia) in your system.. High Ammonia levels cause brain fog!!! 3 times a day 30 cc's daily...grrr..taste nasty but is needed Sister Suzie..Kathy Boo

Hope everybodys feeling good. Llinda, when's your last shot, soon I hope & Dick too.

I feel like an idiot. All week I've been waiting for my doctor's appointment today, hoping to get the biopsy results. This morning I got up & was all ready in time to leave for the appointment. Then, just to make sure I had the time right, I checked my appointment book. Guess what!!!!!!!! I had the right time, right day, wrong week. I had an appt yesterday to have my eyes checked that I thought was last Wed, so I missed that one too. Damn I hate this fog! I'm back on the Lactulose, gotta get my brain back from wherever it's hiding !

Nah I don't think so.. It helps to have a bowel movement.. But lactalose is a hypnotic laxative and some how it binds to and removes the ammonia.. clearing the mind..Kathy Boo

But every time I take the stuff it gives me stomach cramps & then diarrhea, that's why I quit taking it in the first place.
