Need advice about dehumidifier

   I am housebound because of illness.  Last summer when I had my central a/c

checked, the technician failed to hook up a hose properly, and water drained

into the closet where the central unit stays.  I found mold and have shut the

system down. 

   At the moment I have one 5000 BTU window a/c unit.  We are having a history

making hot summer.....it was 104 in the shade on my porch a few minutes ago, and

the humidity in the house is 74%. 

   I need to buy some dehumidifiers.  I think several smaller ones would be

best.  Does anybody have a brand and model they like?   Josie
