I have a friend who goes with me to lunches with church women or anything we can

figure out and she is 91.  She deefinitely gets around better than I do.  Have

another friend here who used to be very active but she fell and broke her neck

and she has a brace on her neck and she has a doctor appt next month and hopes

that it comes off then.  She is a bit depressed as she can't go as much as she

did.  She just turned 89.  Next year we'll have a big celebration for her

birthday.  Her male friend is my age (a little younger by a couple months) and

20 years or so younger than she is.  He has really helped her out through all

this.

She helps him too as well.  They live across the street from one another.  She

doesn't ty too many new things though as far as food is concerned.  Lisolotte

the one who is 91 would probably try about anything as far as food goes.

Age is more a matter of the mind.

My friend Angie has more energy than her grown children. Once, when there was a

feast near my house, and they were blasting the music (this was 4 years or so

ago when she was about 81, I went around the corner, ran into her and her family

and I spun her around and we did the lindy hop in the street. We laughed and she

was smiling and her 55 year old daughter was standing in the doorway sighing and

saying " She doesn't stop, she just doesn't stop " I laughed and sai " She can

stop when she's dead, she's not dead yet, why don't you join us " . She threw up

her hands as if to say (you two are nuts).

Believe me, we are not nuts. We find our rainbows. Angie has been finding her

rainbows for life. She eats extremely well, she has all the health books. She

takes Vitamin C and Resveratrol every day. And yeah, she has wrinkles and stuff

but her attitude and way of moving is amazing. She does not have arthritis.

Imagine an 85 year old woman who does not have arthritis? I asked her if she

would like to try sprouting. She said'I'm never home, I go away for weeks at a

time to my children's homes " . I said " They make portable sprout things called

Hemp Bags, you just put your seeds, dip the bag in water and hang over a

cabinet. She burst out laughing and said " My kids would never go for that " .

She's right.

So for 85, she's doing just right eating whatever she's eating and taking

whatever she's taking.

I agree that it has alot to do with your mind set.  The following is the best

explanation I have found that descibes my health...lol

" My Mind says Im in my 20's

my body says, Yeah, you wish~!!

I often descibe myself as being a young prisioner with lots of energy and

wanting to do so many things, However my Jail cell is My body!
