Guest guest
They do look good. When I planted beans and from your sunnies, I found that the bean hull comes up. I figured the seed stayed in the ground and a shoot comes up, but the bean looks like it comes up and the roots go down and then the leaves come out and eventually the hull which was the bean covering comes off. I'm sure that sounds dumb to you, but since we plant seeds, I expected them to stay there and the leaves and stem to come up. I knew the sprouts had a hull on them in a way but it still didn't dawn on me.   Carolyn Wilkerson  To: sproutpeople Sent: Thursday, May 24, 2012 10:18 PM Subject: Update on my sunnies in the baby blanket.  I must say they are really coming along. I snipped some and had them in my salad for dinner. How fresh and vibrant they are growing. take a look Melody
Guest guest
Yeah, as they grow, the little tiny black caps are attached to the shoot. When they grow really high, the caps fall off (of I just sit in front of the tv and pick them off) SO RELAXING. I got that tip from . lol And they make such a lovely addition to the salad. So colorful. And they go great in the batter too. I think tomorrow I'll do a sunflower pea shoot onion tomato batter. Oh, that sounds lovely. lol Melody > > They do look good. >  >  > > Carolyn Wilkerson > > >  > > > To: sproutpeople > Sent: Thursday, May 24, 2012 10:18 PM > Subject: Update on my sunnies in the baby blanket. > > >  > I must say they are really coming along.
