I have them and love them (but then again, I have and love just about every

sprouter out there, lol) Hang on, I will go measure them for you.........

Okay, I am back.....they are 10x10 inches. Mine are ANCIENT...have had them

since I first started sprouting 20 some years ago. I THINK I have a group

source for these, and will check to see if we can do a group buy on them, if you

like. I also have the Victorio round stackables...they are my favorite for

smaller sprouts.

I just got an email that my sprout bag and my lids were damaged in transit and

whoever was selling them on Amazon doesn't have any more of them.  I got a

refund back on my charge evidently.  I am not a happy camper as I have a couple

jars or which I needed lids.  But I do have some nylon mesh (butterfly net)

that I got at the Dollar Store so I have to make them work I guess.

Carolyn, do what I did. Go to the dollar store and buy NEW flyswatters. Wash

them very well. Then cut them to fit inside the lids of the mason jars.

And there you go!!!

The round Victorio  that I have doesn't drain very well.   I have no clue as

to these other than the side pieces seem to be open and might drain well, but I

wonder about the alfalfa seeds being washed out of there.  Again though, you

can't tell the size and the side pieces could be less than how they look.  What

about going to the Victorio site or looking these up on Amazon and maybe they

will have the sizes there.

We don't have much of a fly problem and they had no fly swatters.  I was there

looking when I ended up buying this butterfly net.  I'll check again later.  I

thought the fly swatters were a fantastic idea and to find 3 at that price was

super.  I think I need to go to a different Dollar store as everything in this

one is $1 and I believe you said yours were $1.99 so I need to look at a

different store.  No glass pie plates at this one, I looked.  Had metal

ones.  I did get 2 Mason jars for small batches and a sugar pourer that I can

try if I find large enough seeds I want to sprout as the holes are larger.

Time to change Dollar stores for a bit.  I went to the thrift store and found 4

pie plates at $3 each, which was more than I thought I'd have to pay.

Carolyn:

Even though we call them dollar stores, they even sell furniture. These stores

are HUGE. They have many rooms. They sell tv's appliances, kitchen gadgets as

well as stuff for a buck. We have a million of them here in Brooklyn. And no one

has flies around here. But they all sell fly swatters. lol

Melody

P.S. I went to my first cooking class today. I had no idea what I would be

seeing. I thought I would see a person just cook and that was it. Oh no. I took

some video clips (there were FARMERS there). and I made a little video to share

with all of you.

Best I have ever had.

I am uploading to youtube right now. Will post the video later. And the people

who were hosting the event got all excited when I told them I was a sprouter.

I have tried to get the photo on here of this, but it looks like a gourmet

dish.   I'll try one more time to get the photo, but here is the recipe.  I am

sure going to save this one.  I just ate but this almost makes me hungry again.

I wonder if has asparagus out in the garden.  I know it takes 2 years and

grows wild in Michigan as my husband was from Michigan.
