Guest guest
yep, we did it, all have ppb of mycotoxins in our urine, my son also tested sputum, dr michael gray told us non-exposed people would only have ppt, also the mycotoxins don't necessarily decline evenly with treatment, my son took several months of csm, we retested at 6 mos., one mycotoxin came down significantly, but another popped up, dr. rea told us this is not uncommon, that one mycotoxin often masks another...haven't retested since, waiting to get my son to sauna first, which may never happen... we also had house samples tested by realtime labs thru Dr. Jack Thrasher toxicologist and on this list... Realtime Labs testing gives good info and is pricey. sue v. >Any experiences with this? http://realtimelab.com/healthcare-mold-and- >mycotoxin-information > > >
Guest guest
I recommend and use this lab for both environmental and human testing. Guest guest
Interesting. So you sent to realtime labs an urine and a sputum sample from your son, both to be analyzed only for mycotoxins or also for Stachybotrys via culture or DNA? Does your son have a strong smelling, fairly dark urine that tend to stain the toilet bowl more than most people? I have that, and I wonder if it could be from mycotoxins. Then Dr Thrasher sent a samples to realtime labs for analysis via PCR (as opposed to QPCR)? were they dust samples? Btw I suppose you want your son to use the sauna for hydrotherapy/sweating therapy to help get rid of the toxins that are not metabolized by the liver of excreted by the kidneys? why do you say that might not happen, because he has a hard time tolerating the heat? > > yep, we did it, all have ppb of mycotoxins in our urine, my son also > tested sputum, dr michael gray told us non-exposed people would only > have ppt, also the mycotoxins don't necessarily decline evenly with > treatment, my son took several months of csm, we retested at 6 mos., one > mycotoxin came down significantly, but another popped up, dr. rea told > us this is not uncommon, that one mycotoxin often masks > another...haven't retested since, waiting to get my son to sauna first, > which may never happen... > > > we also had house samples tested by realtime labs thru Dr. Jack Thrasher > toxicologist and on this list... > > Realtime Labs testing gives good info and is pricey. > > sue v. > > > >Any experiences with this? http://realtimelab.com/healthcare-mold-and- > >mycotoxin-information > > > > > > >
Guest guest
As far as the dark urine, I have mycotoxicosis and do not have dark urine. If kidney and liver function is normal, you may need to hydrate your body better. D > > Interesting. Guest guest
Dark urine = dehydrated or really dark and it could be hepatitis or liver problems...w/hepatitis you feel sick and exhausted. try hydrating and see if your urine lightens... >>> dr rea wants my son to sauna like crazy to sweat out mold toxins, chemicals. my son won't sauna because of overwhelming fatigue, everything, even stuff that might help him is " too much work " and the sauna makes him hot and itchy and then he doesn't have the energy it would take to shower long enuf to get rid of the itchiness...and close to 5 years into this horror he doesn't believe anything will help so why put forth what to him is a huge effort, that is how his brain works. My brain is telling me to either shoot myself or find someplace to send him where they will lock him up and throw away the key... my son does not have strong smelling fairly dark urine that stains the toilet bowl
Guest guest
what are ppb of mycotoxins? I took the 700$ test and it came back negative. after my results were in and I posted to the list, Dr T said he suggests early am.. I askhad asked real time before I tested if should be an early am or 24 hour which made more sense to me and they said no.. just any time of day.. very frustrated with this lab and confused about the neg on the test. Guest guest
I am with you there Robin, its confusing. The one and only time mine came out negative, I was told that " possibly my body was not dumping mycotoxins at the time. " Apparently you can get a false negative. It was suggested I do it again, but who has $7-800. to throw around just to " try it. Guest guest
say your colonized, nasal/sinus or somewhere inside you, and when the mold get's activaed, or tries to grow it does produce mycotoxins, so your urine color might change at these times and this might be a good time to have urine tested for mycotoxins ? sound plausable? > > Dark urine = dehydrated or really dark and it could be hepatitis or > > liver problems...w/hepatitis you feel sick and exhausted. > > > > try hydrating and see if your urine lightens... >
Guest guest
No lab test by itself is definitive. As you and others frequently attest there all kinds of seemingly wrong results. Most of which come from interpretation. For a representative interpretation you need to begin with an accurate context and a specific, precise question which that test is capable of answering. General questions create confusion and misunderstanding, leaving the results open to dispute by anyone who wants to. Especially those who don't want to take responsibility. Guest guest
I'm not sure I get the mycotoxins being stored in fat cells, when? I lost weight during exposure and didn't start gaining weight until I had been practices avoidance for awhile and the dierrhrea finally calmed down some. now I've gained all that weight back plus++++ I fell like it's mostly do to the damage in the gut and not being able to get the nutrients from the food I eat. I cant say I really eat more than usual, just not able to be as active as before so the fat packs on. I felt like one thing about the CF is maybe now the body wants to store fat in order to store the toxins. but maybe it depends on what toxins. do fat cells store all toxins or specific type toxins, gasses or particle type or both? > > say your colonized, nasal/sinus or somewhere inside you, and when the mold get's activaed, or tries to grow it does produce mycotoxins, so your urine color might change at these times and this might be a good time to have urine tested for mycotoxins ? sound plausable? >
Guest guest
I think its very possible that colonized mold if it the type to produce mycotoxins could release its poison. Guest guest
a, Can you tell me if there is a test a regular Dr can do for re-exposure, one that does not have to go to real time labs and come out of my none existing pocket,  I cannot seem to get an answer and posted a couple of times already. TY    God Bless !! dragonflymcs Mayleen ________________________________ From: a Townsend <kmtown2003@...> Sent: Mon, December 6, 2010 12:38:28 AM Subject: Re: [] Re: Urine Mycotoxin Testing  I think its very possible that colonized mold if it the type to produce mycotoxins could release its poison. Guest guest
a can you please tell me where you took this information? thanks btw i drink boatloads of water, so I might be but shouldnt be dehydrated. It's really unfortunate realtime labs do not test for more urine mycotoxins. Most insurances dont cover that test I suppose? > > Dark urine = dehydrated or really dark and it could be hepatitis or > > liver problems...w/hepatitis you feel sick and exhausted. > > > > try hydrating and see if your urine lightens... >
