Strange, I thought you said you had problems with food additives, preservatives,

processed foods, etc. Sound like MCS ?

God Bless !!

Subject: [] essential oils, CSM, etc

one of the few things I don't have is MCS. i have been able to use a small

amount of essential oils, which has had positive effects to my health. my

understanding is that the solvents in essential oils are usually alcohol, wax,

resin and other essential oils, which are more likely to cause problems that the

oils themselves, unless of course you are allergic or sensitive to the actual

plant or flower the oil is derived from.

although i don't suffer from MCS, i do however have multiple food allergies as

well as drug sensitivities. what i mean by drug sensitivities is that if i take

a drug, i will developed more than half of the side effects of the drugs before

there is any therapeutic gain from the drug. unfortunately for this reason most

of dr. shoemaker's protocol does not work for me. i'm a big fan of dr.

shoemaker's work, however i can't follow his treatment plan due to this fact.

for this reason, i needed to learn how to treat my condition without medication.

all supplements, vitamins and herbs are a matter of trial and error. over the

years i've found what works for me, but it's been a long process. my approach

with the help of all my health care providers has been, let's try it and

hopefully i won't have an anaphylactic reaction.

after speaking with dr. short-ray, a mold expert who also was exposed to mold,

she recommended that i take modifilan (seaweed extract) which binds to mold,

instead of csm. i decided to include seaweed to my diet, rather than taking

modifilan, because i was concerned about the extraction process. seaweed has

been very helpful. does anyone know of other supplements, herbs etc that bind to

mold other than modifilan or csm? how about charcoal or bentonite clay?

thank you.

I DON'T KNOW ABOUT binding to mold but both bentonite clay and charcoal absorb

and remove toxins (of mold or whatever). I have used both with great success.

They have relieved a lot of my symptoms. I don't know if I could handle clay

right now but I do take charcoal and have also done foot baths to remove toxins.

I also use antifungals to kill mold and candida in my body.

YOU ARE WELCOME. I don't know your level of sensitivity so try a little at

first, then you can take more if it's ok. Take the charcoal between meals, not

with food, as it is the toxins in the body you are wanting to absorb.
